Place: Richardson Comments: It was so good to read Mike Davis' FB post yesterday saying Karen was being moved to Healthsouth Rehab Center in Richardson. Will probably be there about a week. Great news our friend is much better and on the road to recovery. We'll see her in September! God is good!
Place: Richardson Comments: Haven't talked with Mike Davis in 2 days. Hope that means he is really busy getting Karen checked-out and either to Rehab/PT or home. I know both Mike & Karen have a daughter and family who live very close to them. That's good because they have been a good support network for mike, helping with the doggies and such. Tomorrow is our annual Gauer Reunion, my mom's family. It's in Mosheim, TX., and other than Sammy or James & Kay Kidd, most people have never heard of it. It's a spot in the road with a small community center that we rent for the day. Well, its back to the kitchen, today I cook and get evrything ready as we have to leave at 7:30am to get there in time. Most all the other relatives live in and around Crawford and Waco. One last note about the Reunion - - Your registration form & check must be postmarked by 6-11 to get the Best Deal price! And, on July 9th, we will draw from all registrations received for a Free Room for Fri & Sat nights! The "Who's Attending" list is growing, but the rest of you need to get your forms in as soon as possible. Also, there are about 12 rooms left at the $85 rate. So go to our 50th Reunion pg and follow the directions or link to get your room. Remember, "I'll See You In September!"

Place: Reunion Central Comments: Hey gang, after the big rush for getting rooms the past two weeks we have a few left at the $85 rate. Some are King and others are two Queens. We have 13 rooms left. If you want the low rate either call the reservation # (refer to the Hotel info in your invite packet) or click over to our website 50th Reunion pg and click on the Book Now button. Remember, if you ask for Queen and they say no rooms at $85 rate, then ask for a King, or vice versa. If you've already booked your room, please get your registration in the mail. There are still quiet a few people with rooms but no registration. To the many who have already paid . . . Thank You!
Place: Richardson Comments: For those of you not on FB - Mike Davis called this morning and Karen is doing better each day. She walked some yesterday and sitting up in bed and of course . . . talking. ![[thumb]](/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif "Thumb - :thumb:") Mike thinks she will be there another 4 to 5 days. Dr. is waiting a bit before discussing PT or Rehab, wants to see how she does. Mike did emphasize to me that she is not receiving visitors and I told him we understand. It's difficult enough after this type of surgery to make it thru the pain and rigors of recovery. But they both appreciate the prayers we are sending up. Mike is reading the FB & GB posts to her, so post away!
Place: Soggy Richardson Comments: Per Mike's post on FB late yesterday and his call today, Karen was moved from ICU into a regular room late Monday. She is sitting up in bed and starting to feel a bit better. Each day is bringing a little progress. I told him that is good because with this type of major surgery it is a slow recovery with baby steps, but, Karen is strong and she will get there. Karen and Mike both appreciate all the prayers from their SOC friends.

Place: Houston, TX Comments: Thanks to Sammy & Sarah Smith for printing up our registration forms for the 66 reunion! Our printer only works on occasion and when it is in the mood. We mailed the form and fee today! Yay!! Can't wait!
Place: Richardson Comments: Just heard from our friend Janice Scallorn and she and Patrick (the guy she brought to the Spring Get-Together) got married May 1st. And . . . she's retiring tomorrow! Congrats to Janice on some great and wonderful life-changing events. Best wishes to you and Patrick!!! And yes, they're coming to the reunion.
Place: Reunion Central - Richardson, TX Comments: Hey gang - As of yesterday's mail we have 30 couples or individuals that have registered for the reunion. There are still 8 people who have reserved rooms, but I haven't received their registration yet. C'mon, lets get those checks & forms in so I can pay the $2500 payment due on June 23. ![[eek]](/images/boards/smilies/eek.gif "Eek - :eek:") I'd sure hate to see Donnie & Jack, in all this rain, on the curb selling cookies and lemonade to make money for the reunion. ![[rolleyes]](/images/boards/smilies/rolleyes.gif "Roll Eyes - :rolleyes:") Although, they might do really well, depending on where they set-up. I know lots more of you plan to attend so let's get those checks in the mail. A big Thank You to everyone who has already dropped it in the mail!
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Hey it is a loan car! I do not think they want me to keep it for ever. Although it does have a lot of those things Sam. I really liked the rental they gave me last time....every time you hanged lanes without signaling the seat would vibrate! Talk about weaving in and out of traffic!!!!! Lol
