Place: 66erville Comments: Just heard one of my favorites on TV, Sam. "It's yours Free, just pay shipping and handling" small print on bottom of screen "Subscription required"
Place: Highland Park Comments: Hey gang, let's do something different here. How about doing a quote you'll Never hear from businesses. I'll start it since I'm not a happy camper. Discount Tires " Yes sir we can do your free tire rotation in 15 minutes." ( or 20, or 30, or 40 minutes) Who's next?
Place: 66erville Comments: A big THANK YOU to Sam, Sandy and oh yea Richard for responding to my request. I appreciate you joining in. Also thanks to Dale and Rod for the emails!!
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Woohoo...got my car back yesterday....total was a little over $11,000. They waived the deductible because we have to take it back to gave a couple of things done. Now we have to go and put the RV in the shop. They finally approved it at a little over $14,500. Having a colonoscopy tmr. Decided that white wine should be on the accepted list. It is a clear liquid! It would make the procedure a lot more pleasant.
Place: Richardson Comments: Ok, I had to read it 3 times and then it hit me! Suddenly I remembered my Grandma's house in Hot Springs AR. that had no indoor facilities! LOL I can hardly wait Dale . . . believe it or not, I've missed you!!
Place: KC, MO Comments: Well said, Jack - the part about the reunion, not the part about keeping a watchful eye on our dear Sandy! Oh, Dale - I hope that everyone "gets" your post so you don't have to explain it here! Love to all - and - "See You in September"! - Carol
Place: Lazy S Ranch Comments: Jack, Surly she would get you some shade. BTW, do you know the difference between a rich girl and a poor girl? The rich girl has a canopy OVER her bed.
Place: 66erville Comments: Carol, you got to watch her! Good catch. Hold her feet to the fire or just make her walk outside on the sidewalk for a while. To those coming but not yet sent in your checks, time's a wasting. Stop procrastinating and get her done. It's to hot to sit on the street corner and sell drinks. Sandy won't spring for a canopy or a permit. Seriously, this may well be our last big reunion. It may be your last chance to see people we spent some of the best years of our lives with. Friendships that spanned close to casual. We all impacted each other, often we didn't even know it. Something said or did, in class, in the hallway or outside of school. Now sweet or sad memories, but memories of our lives and times together. We have already lost many of our classmates. None of us knows what tomorrow will bring. Will you take the, what may be our last, chance of ever seeing that special person or the rest of us again? See you in September!!
Place: KC, MO Comments: Thank you, Sandy!
Place: Richardson Comments: Carol - You are now on the list . . . and this time it's a good list!
Place: Richardson Comments: Oh my goodness Carol, please accept my apology! No, both checks cleared, the registration ck & the nice donation ck. I have them listed on the deposit slip, and on my internal paid list, but failed to put you on the site "Who's Attending" list I think I have too many lists! I will get you on there as soon as I leave this post. Thank you for letting me know!
Place: KC, MO Comments: Sandy, I don't see my name on the list. Did my check bounce? :-)
Place: Richardson Comments: If you haven't checked the "Who's Attending " list lately, the list is getting long. But not long enough! I know there are at least another 25 or more couples and a bunch of singles who usually attend that have not registered yet. I know you're coming, so get your money in!
Place: Lake Tawakoni Comments: I started working at J.C. Penney Regional Credit office in 1967. I have been in the Credit/ Collection business for 49 years. My absolute favorite company was the original Cheerleader Supply Company owned by Lawrence "Herkie" Herkimer. I managed the Collection Department for Herkie. Jim Hazlewood, Herkie's brother- in - law was the V.P. Herkie made the company a fun place to work and treated his employees very well. Jim Hazlewood started his own company, Cheerleading Company, when Herkie retired and sold his company in 1987. Long story short, I am now working for Jim three days a week collecting the outstanding A/R. Once you are in the Cheerleading industry, you keep coming back.
Place: Richardson Comments: I worked 19 yrs for SWBell/AT&T. About 16 with SWBell & then went over to the AT&T side with the divestiture. I started out as a clerk and did lots of different jobs. When I left I was a Credit Mgr. Then went to work for American Bureau of Collections (ABC) as an outside Sales Mgr. Worked there 13 and a half yrs. My 3rd and last paying job in life was with Richmond North Associates where I did the same job as with ABC. Worked for RNA 11 and a half yrs. After 44 yrs, I retired. I have always been in Sales, Marketing or Collections. It's odd how those 3 entities all mesh together and you use all 3 of them to do any of those jobs. Richard, we may need you to provide tips on how your lemonade stand has been so successful. If we don't get a bunch more registrations coming in Jack & Donnie will be setting up a stand here to get more cash to pay for the reunion. Come on gang - Get those checks & forms in the mail, momma's got to pay for the hotel.
