Place: Sunny & Hot in Richardson Comments: Actually, we're burning up in Richardson, 102 yesterday and same forecast for today and tomorrow. But something else that's on fire is our Attendance List!! If you haven't looked in a few days . . . check it out. David Kyle is coming to his first reunion! Heard from Ron Barker last night and he's going to attend, just has some logistics to work out because he still travels a lot. I'm very excited about the recent new names on the list!! TNX Shortcake, right now it's all paper & computer work. Posting names to site, endorsing, logging & depositing checks, updating database, recontacting & confirming with vendors, walk-thrus at hotel. Also it happened again, 8 weeks out from the event - - Hyatt fired my coordinator and I started all over with new one last week. It appears to be the norm for all hotels. It's hectic, but all worth it when 5:30pm rolls around on Sept. 23rd!!! ![[thumb]](/images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif "Thumb - :thumb:") ![[biggrin]](/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif "Big Grin - :D") I update our database from the registrations forms so all new info will be there when I merge it into a directory. If you aren't coming and have new info, send it to me ASAP via email or the form from our website, but do send it soon! Dir will close in 2 weeks. I have to have time to get it all prettied-up and to the printer.

Place: Richardson Comments: Yes Carol, we've got a lot of old friends coming to this one. Besides the ones you mention, did you see Carol Bolton, Janice Penn, Rusty Powers and Carolyn Evans! I just post Fred Meier last night. There are a few more couples and some singles that contacted me, said they were coming and I'm waiting on their registration. Also, did y'all see the 5 teachers who RSVPd? It's going to be a good reunion!!!
Place: KC, MO Comments: Hi, Mario and Toni and Rick! Working late for a Friday deadline and just finished listening to the Royals game. Tied for 3rd in the AL Central - hope springs eternal! ...and the Twins just beat the Indians - YEA! I'm really excited to see some of the latest names that have been added to the reunion list - don't think that I've seen Robert Dean, Mike Dunn, or Judy Stover since graduation. Judy is one of our dwindling W. W. Bushman alums. Just a little over 7 weeks to go! Love to all - Carol

I went to my Aunt Hope's funeral. She was the last of my dads siblings and I was really sad to see her go. Sorry I didn't have time to stop in for a chat with you. We got to the hotel in Raytown and unpacked the car only to discover we left our funeral clothes at home. We had to shop for new clothes before going to the church.
Place: Richardson Comments: If you haven't looked lately, you should check out all the names on the list of attendees for the reunion. Our class website is still www.soc1966.com and the "Who's Attending" pg (which is a tab under the 50th Reunion pg) has all the names and which nights they are attending. I'm really pleased to see so many friends on the list who haven't come a very long time. But, we still need another 25 or so people to sign-up in order to fully meet all our obligations. So let's get those checks and forms in the mail ASAP! I promise, it will be a fun and memorable reunion!! See You In September!!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Toni - How funny! We have the two G-sons since last Wed. It's been 7 days and nights . . but who's counting! ![[smile]](/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif "Smile - :)") Life is certainly different with two 11-year-old boys around. We've been to the new Air Park, Pin Stack, Movies, Hawaiian Falls and to our neighborhood pool 3-4 times. I thought I would burn up Monday at Hawaiian Falls!!! We've also played dominoes, black jack & at night we watch the Rangers. We're pooped! But it has been a great week doing fun things. Tomorrow Don takes them home. Will seem eerily quiet around here after that . . .Aren't Garndones Great!!! They get you to do things you haven't done in years, but it's all worth it when you get the big hugs and I love yous!
Place: Melissa USA Comments: Checking in.....Hi Carol, Hi Mario! Clearly we missed the plane. It's a ghost town! Recovering from having my youngest grandone for one week. I have played more board games, card games, tic-tac-toe on the iPad, Dory Operation. There is nothing more rewarding at the end of the day than getting a bear hug and kiss from a loving grandson. I'm exhausted but so is he!!

Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy - So nice to hear from you. I'm sorry you're having so much pain, hopefully it will get better soon and PT will give some relief too. Will keep you in my prayers and I'm looking forward to seeing you too. Have y'all looked at the list lately... lots of old friends coming that we haven't seen in many years! Plus I've heard from 4 more that we haven't seen in a very long time and they're sending their check this week.
Place: Break a Neck Texas Comments: Hey Ronney, This is Sam. It's a day to day process. Although I'm improving, I'm still experiencing pain and muscle tightness where the neurosurgeon cut my back muscle to insert the plate and screws from my C-4 to T-2 vertebrates. I'm waiting on a physical therapist to come out and show me what I need to do regarding the back muscle. I'm looking forward to,seeing everyone at the reunion. Ronney McKee 8:33am Jul 18 Hi, Sarah.
