Place: Dallas Comments: We had our three Hale grandkids yesterday and today. Went to Casey's basketball game at noon yesterday then Kathryn's basketball game at 2:30. Swung by Marsha and Jeff's to get their clothes, out to eat at Subway then to our house to spend the night. Played Pick up sticks and Fishing games. As far as the Cowboys, we have the offense in place. Hope J.J. uses what money is available after he pays Romo's $20 million and gets two exceptional pass rushers; something we have lacked all season.
Place: Richardson Comments: Carol - I know how you're feeling. I'm just now able to even talk about it. If we had a better D-Fence they wouldn't have let them get those two big passing yard plays at the end. But . . . like the Chiefs, we're done. Breaks my heart, kind of like breaking up with a long time love. I couldn't even look at the Sports page today, much less read it. Didn't need to, I lived it last night. How's everyone doing? Been quite around here lately, anyone done anything exciting?
Place: KC, MO Comments: My condolences to you Cowboys fans. Your Boys should have won that game. My Chiefs, on the other hand - SHEESH! If anyone wants to negotiate for an offensive tackle, I'm pretty sure that Eric Fisher could be had for a bargain basement price. Of course he wasn't the only reason we lost - but right now he is the face of the loss. It's getting harder and harder to believe that "we'll get 'em next year". Love to all - Carol
Place: Bowie County, Texas Comments: Speaking of J.D. The Cheesehead we have not heard from him lately. His Packards are playing our Cowboys & he hasn't said anything about the outcome. The Chiefs still are one of the favorates with the Dallas locals.
Place: Still Chiefs Country Comments: ...and good luck to Jerry (I assume that he's a Texans fan)! ...and good luck to Ada (I assume that she's a Patriots fan)! ...but most of all - MORE good luck to the Chiefs!
Place: Chiefs Country Comments: Good luck to all of you Cowboys fans! ...and good luck to me - a Chiefs fan! ...and I guess that I have to wish good luck to our Packers fan - J. D., too! Love to all - Carol
Place: Melissa USA Comments: Decided to turn off Facebook for a while. Too many children acting like adults...or vice versa! This cold weather has not been fun. I'm thinking a warmer climate would be far better! I think I see Florida on the horizon as my son has said that his youngest would be graduating from high school in Florida. To that I replied..."You'd better not leave town without us!" Thanks to everyone wishing me a happy birthday. It was a really good one. Happy belated birthday to Sally!
Place: Calif. Comments: Well, Happy Birthdays to Sally & David. Have a good one.
Place: Richardson Comments: Today, 1-8, is Sally Taylor's B-day. Sally - Wishing you a very happy birthday and many more to come. It was so good to see you at the reunion. It's also Elvis Presley's b-day and our friend Mike Dunn. Unfortunately, neither are with us any longer. Live well & enjoy your (and your dtr's) birthday!!!
Place: Orange Comments: Happy Birthday to David Mitchell. It was good seeing you at the 50th.
Place: KC, MO Comments: "Hi" to everyone. I am sorry to learn of Mike Dunn's passing. I understand that he was greatly disappointed that he was unable to attend the reunion. As Carolyn said, Mike was a nice guy. Happy Birthday Wishes to you, Toni! Here's to 2017 and to the hope that it will be a "heap" better than 2016 - except for the reunion, of course - it will be hard to top that! Love to all - Carol
Place: The Woodlands Comments: Happy Birthday wishes to my fabulous friend Toni! Hope you have a blast today. I will never forget the fun we had together when we were young and crazy! I guess we are old and crazy. Hah!
Place: Richardson Comments: Happy Birthday to my friend and yours . . . Toni Rogers Jones! May you enjoy this day with many more to come!
Place: Richardson Comments: Ada Ann & All - - - No the address for Mike in the directory ( Dickinson, TX) is not correct. He only lived there a short time and after the recent stroke he moved back to California so he would have help in getting to/from Dr appts and other daily activities. I don't give out info on classmates unless they ask me too, but, in this case I will tell you that Mike & Angie were separated. Had been for over a year. He & his wife lived in Cala Del Valle, Murrieta, Ca 92562, then he alone moved to Houston, TX & lived in an Apt and then he moved to Dickinson, TX and then back to Ca & into an Apt. I wish I could give more info but Mike was illusive and I had trouble keeping up with where he lived. I believe the best place to look for an obit would be in CA. All Angie's Em said was that he passed away on 12-13 in Ca. I would not be surprised if there was no obit or even funeral services. Although he was born here in TX, grew up here and has a son in Mesquite, I really don't know whre he is buried or anything else. Ada Ann, if you or anyone else finds an obit, I would greatly appreciate you sharing with me. Thank you!
Place: NH Comments: Is Mike's correct address in the directory? How would I find an obit for him? |
