Place: North Richland Hills Comments: Message re Jim Martin: Jim Martin: Cari is very partial to Sheltie's.... so I'm pretty sure that's what will get....by the way I'm in Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas I fell off the roof of my house a couple days ago on August 3 and I'll be here for another week. Susan Piland Sunde: Good Heavens! You must have banged it up pretty bad! I'm adding you to my prayer list. Hope you feel better soon!
Place: Sachse Comments: So sad to hear of the passing of a sweet lady. Betty and I had a couple of classes together at SOC. I really enjoyed her friendship. Kinda shy, but really funny and super nice. Rest in peace, Betty. Prayers for her family.
Place: Richardson Comments: We waited for the rain storm to pass and Don left about 10 minutes ago to take the boys back to Dripping Springs. It's so quiet here now. We had a gret time with them this past week. Went to the Ft Worth Zoo on Monday. It is a great Zoo, much better than Dallas Zoo. There's huge trees with lots of shade and so many animals. Spent a little more than 4 hrs walking around the zoo. We all had tired feet & decided to res tup by seeing a movie on Tuesday. Yesterday we spent a lot of time at the Dallas World Aquarium. Wow, what a spectacular place. Much more than an aquarium!! If you haven't been... it's a must see!! We bought a new puzzle for them and they put it together and they were so proud. Don bought a big frame for it & they're taking it home to hang on their wall. On a somber note . . . learned last night of the passing of Betty McKee Wollenberg. I then saw Ronney's post this morning here. I haven't been on FB or GB much with the kids here. We're gone most of the day and too tired at night after dinner. Plus we all watch the Ranger games together! My condolences to Betty's family. This will be the 88th classmate (that we know of) that we have lost. Oh, how sad it makes me to post the names. RIP Betty.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: I just learned of another classmate death. My good friend and sister in spirit (many thought we were siblings) Betty McKee Wollenberg has died. She recently had a heart attack and open heart surgery. Guess it was too much for my sweet friend. SO happy dhe came to my surprise birthday party in 2012. I will always cherish the friend I called "Sis." I cannot imagine not conversing with her on Facebook. She was a dear, very special friend.
Place: Richardson Comments: Wow, 3 kids with SOC connections going to U of Ark!!! Maybe they'll all get together and visit. Oh, maybe not a good idea! Can you imagine the stories they might tell about their G-parent s and great Aunt & Uncle!!! LOL Yikes! We're having to reschedule our HOA Board meeting next week as one of our members is taking their dtr to O U in OKLA. Oh the brighter side . . . Don left this morning and is on his way back now with our two G-sons. Should arrive about 5:30. Can hardly wait!!! They live in Dripping Springs SW of Austin. Later guys . . .
Place: Melissa TX USA Comments: Sandy, glad to see you, Gordy, Mike, and Charlotte made it safely to Larry and Martha's 50th anniversary. I'm sure you all had a great time! So many great memories with them back in the day! Just thinking about a get together in 2024....that's seven years down the road. Hopefully, we will all still be kickin'! That's my plan! Bruce and I are the official sitters this weekend while my son and d-i-l pack up most of their house and move it into a dorm in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It's been a week of fun reminiscing with our grandson before he moves onto his next big adventure of his life....college life. While the University of Arkansas is a good size campus of about 28,000 young men and women, they will be welcoming three new bright freshmen, Brayden Allen (our grandson), Reed Vierling (Barbara and Don Fugate's grandson), and Taylor Brooks (Karen and Bobby Louton's great niece)! What a coincidence! Wishing them all the very best!

Place: Wylie, tx Comments: Sounds like you guys had a great time. My invitation must be with Richards. Nonetheless, happy anniversary Larry. Sounds like it was really great! Well we have now closed on our lake house in Cypress Springs. It was really sad leaving it for the last time. We had been there 19 yrs next week. The only good thing is that the people that bought it seemed really excited about it. We are at our youngest daughters house in Wylie now until we finish Dr. visits and a few other things to take care of. Then it is off to a new adventure. If you get to Kerrville let us know....we can hit some of the wineries in Fredericksburg!

Place: Sachse Comments: Congrats, Larry and Martha! That is a great accomplishment. Carol, Glynda and I saw that show in Vegas a few years back. I hope it is the same cast. The kid that played Jerry Lee Lewis was fantastic. We really enjoyed the show and knowing the story that group went through. All the "actors" were very good and made a point to tell that they all played the instruments in the show. Of course, the music was GREAT! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Place: Richardson Comments: Larry - It was a wonderful night. You're dtr did an excellent job in organizing the party with all the beautiful flowers and the delicious cake! I have some good photos of the cake, cookies and more! I'll get them printed and send them to you as a memento of the evening. It was fun remember our time in the apartments next to each other on Atlantic St in Oak Cliff. Great evening!! Oh, we didn't get very far when we left your house Sunday morning. Gordy had to stop across the hwy at Buc-ees!! ![[rofl]](https://cdn.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/rofl.gif "Rofl - :lol:") Charlotte had never been in a Buc-ees, now she has!
