Place: Calif. Comments: Does Sandy Magee still peek at this site. I had a house guest who was Sue-Sue's friend/acquaintance in the 60's who wants to send her a "hello". Kay Hamric says "hey" to Sue-Sue.
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, Peaches is '63, but the invite is open to all SOCites. There were graduates from 61 thru 66 there Sunday. I've made lots of friends thru this annual event & Peaches home is decorated from top to bottom. It's really beautiful. We had lots of fun. John Southworth & Dru came this year. Always enjoy visiting with them. Yep, 85 Monday & when we got home late Tuesday it was getting really cold. 45 this morning here. And maybe a freeze overnight Thursday! Yikes, it's finally winter.
Place: Dallas Comments: Merry Christmas all. Sandy, did Peaches graduate in '63? My older brother Martin Lee Smith ( Marty ) graduated that year. He was the bear mascot. Temperature this Friday morning will be 29*. Be sure to wrap the outside faucets. Stay warm !

Place: Hot in Richardson Comments: Well, it's Dec 3rd & it's supposed to be in the 80s today. The plants & trees are confused & frankly, so am I. ![[confused]](https://cdn.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/confused.gif "Confused - :confused:") Going to Peaches house today for her annual SOC Christmas Party. Always good to see SOC friends from other classes. John & Dru are supposed to make it this year. Been too long since we've seen them! Don's Aunt in Houston passed away this weekend. Don & his brother will be pallbearers & we'll be out of pocket for a couple of days. Have cat/house sitter, neighbors dtr so good to stay here. Hope everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit despite the hot temperatures.
Place: Richardson Comments: I know what you mean Sammy. I felt more sluggish than the Cowboys offense! It was a great dinner & really enjoyed visiting with my niece & nephew as well as brother & sis-n-law. It was a good day all around, except for the Cowboys game, what a downer. Preparing for Christmas. I got all the HOA decorations up yesterday and Don put out our front yard Christmas lights. Today he fixed our landscape lights as some were out & others were just not working. Looks nice tonight! I guess tomorrow we'll put up the tree & decor. Geez, it's too hot to almost be December!
Place: Turkeyville Comments: Well I did it again. Gorged myself Thanksgiving day. It was a marathon all day. Thursday night I was moving like a slug on Ambien CR.

Place: Richardson Comments: That's great Rick, look forward to seeing you at both the Mini & the B-day Party! Productive day - - - made German choc pie, pumpkin pie, sweet potato casserole, cornbread dressing and cranberry relish. Taking all over to my brother's house & will bake the dressing & sweet potatoes when I get there. Always love spending time with my brother and his family. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!!

Place: Richardson Comments: Still don't know a Donna Stice. Be careful who you accept as "Friends" on FB. It can open you up to unwanted attention from people you don't really know. Had meeting with Jenny at the Holiday Inn today regarding having our 70th B-day party there. Since the hotel was totally remodeled, they have a nice big bar area that's very open & it also includes a seating area because they serve breakfast & dinner. Keep in mind, we will still have a spring Mini and then we'll have a fun 70th B-day Party in Sept. I'm looking at Saturday, Sept 22, 2018. There will NOT be any invitations mailed out! That is too labor intensive & costly. You'll need to read our Events page to get all the info. As soon as I sign the contract I will start posting info. I'll post reminders on FB advising 66ers to go to the EVENT pg, but no invitation will be posted on FB. Y'all have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!! Catch you later, I think I hear dressing & sweet potato casserole begging to be made!

Please Wait for it to process, be patient, and it will then show your post. Takes about 5-6 seconds where before it was almost immediate. But don't worry, we'll just read it twice! LOL I feel the same way Ronney - Seems like with each of our Minis or Reunions, I enjoy them more each time! |
