Place: Loss of Another Classmate Comments: Larry Simons caught this in the paper last week and sent me a note. I tracked down the obit. Kenneth Holliday from our class passed away last month. He lived with his wife in Waxahachie. I've put the link here. http://www.bozemitchellmckibbin.com/memsol.cgi?user_id=2059622 I've added him to our deceased page.
Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy - Thank you for the current status on your wife Sarah. I did read about her emergency trip to hospital & Shirley was kind enough to keep me posted on what was happening. So thankful Sarah is coming home today & everything went well. Y'all have definitely had a lot of bad things happen in just a few weeks. I, as well as all your SOC Friends, will continue to pray for Sarah's full recovery. Take care of yourself as Sarah really needs you now. Love & prayers to you both.
Place: Parkland Hospital Comments: Some of you may know this from our son's posting on Facebook. Sarah was taken to the emergency room at 4:30 a.m. Two days ago.with severe pain on the side of her stomach and internal bleeding. She had surgery Thursday night for a Hiatal Hernia. The surgeon said it went very well and they were able to fix it via laparoscopy and not major surgery. She was moved from ICU yesterday into a regular room. The surgeon came in this morning and said she can go home today. She will be weak and on a restricted soft food diet for 3 weeks. She can return to work in three wekas as well. Thank you for your prayers at this difficult time in our lives.

Place: Soggy in Richardson Comments: Rain rain, go away. Enough already! Sammy - y'all have certainly had a bad run of luck. Whoever T-boned you in the church parking lot must have been speeding like crazy to have totaled your Odyssey in a parking lot!?. My gosh, it's a miracle y'all weren't seriously hurt! Then the flu on top of the other stuff. So sorry. Seems this year has certainly been a bad start for many of us. Take care and I hope you get his ins Co to pony up for the full value of your Odyssey.
Place: Dallas Comments: Hey all, trying to catch up. It's been a while since I posted. Jack, I apologize for not commenting about your mom's passing. I'm so sorry to hear of it. At the same time of her passing, my Aunt passed away and her funeral was the same day. We were involved in a wreck in our church parking lot during that time as well. Guy T-Boned our Honda Odyssey EX-L and totaled it. Thankfully no one was hurt.We are fighting with his insurance company regarding the valuation they determined. They valued with standard features and no options. The estimator did not include Navigation System, multi disc 6 CD players, rear A/C and Rear DVD Entertainment System. We are going through the flu and crud. Other than that, Life is good!!
Place: 70th B-Day Party Comments: I can't emphasize enough the need for you to go to our Evens pg & read all the details for our Class of '66 B-day Party coming up on Sept. 22, 2018. If you would like to attend, you'll need to register and send in your money. It's going to be a fun party with lots of time to visit and catch up with old friends. Would love to see you there!! So far we have 8 people officially registered. Don't let the date sneak up on you. Do it Now!
Place: Richardson Comments: Jack - That's what friends do. You've been such a good friend to me and so many others, we wanted to be there for you. I remember when my dad died, I was kind of in a daze, but what I remember about that Friday night at my house was so many friendly faces from Lisbon and SOC. Y'all took my mind off of a bad thing and made me feel loved. I'm glad you are making it through each day and look forward to seeing you soon. |
