Place: 70th B-day Party Menu

Comments:
Food & Drink at the B-day Party  . . .  As everyone should know by now, we're not having a sit-down plated dinner like we've done at the reunions.  There will be a line of tables set up with Chipotle Roasted Turkey Breast & Prim Rib along with breads so you can make sliders.  Also, salsa, queso & chips, deviled eggs, egg rolls & sauce, cheese tray, fruit tray and of course Birthday Cake for dessert.  There will also be ice tea, coffee & water and a CASH BAR!  All this is included in your $20 registration fee. It's all self-serve.   This should keep us going from 6 to 11pm.  I'll probably eat a very late lunch before heading to hotel.

Sammy - Nothing special about that date, BUT, All hotels have cut-off dates of when you have to give a final head count.  It has to do with Food, Drinks, Tables, etc.  Allowing 2 - 4 days for mail to get here, we reach the cut-off date to make changes.

Place: 70th B-day Update

Great News!  Yesterday was my semi-final meeting with hotel to go over layout and details.  Also to pay balance!  I'm feeling really good because I got us that extra space I think we need AND, wait for it . . .  with no extra cost!  Just call me Smooth Talkin' Sandy.  [wink]

I can now add more tables if needed and we won't be crowded.  That means all of you who procrastinated and haven't sent your check, send it now.  All checks MUST be in the mail by 8-31.  No walk-ups will be allowed.  We have 86 people registered to attend as of last night.  Here's the link to our Attending list - - check it out.  http://www.soc1966.com/70th-b-day-attendance-list.html

All, please say a prayer for our dear friend Shirley Mullins. For quite some time now Shirley has had issues with her liver. She went for a routine visit to her specialist and was told she needed an ultrasound and CT SCAN as something did not feel right.
She has the ultrasound scheduled for this Thursday. The CT SCAN has not been scheduled as of today. Please pray for both tests to be negative results for abnormalities.
