Place: NH Comments: Ronney and Connie, my heart is breaking for your family. Just know that I am praying for God to hold all of you in his healing hands.
Place: Lago Vista, TX Comments: Randall - If you're out there, by any chance, to you and your family - please accept my sincere condolences on the occasion of your wife's passing. I did not know Peggy, but wish I'd had an opportunity to meet her. I can't imagine the void that must be created, but never filled, when your life-long friend, lover, and partner is taken from you. Try as we may, I'm sure there is no way we can ever be truly prepared for that day, which will surely come for all of us. We were classmates since grade school. Once Sandy has an opportunity to post our Oliver football team photo from '59-60, we'll all be able to see that. But, I wasn't aware that you had attended the 50th reunion until noticing your couple photo in Album #2 from Sat. night (row 3, col 3, image 15/78). I sure wish one of us had recognized the other, but guess it had just been too long ago. I hope we get another chance in the near future and have activated a link above if you'd care to send a private note - when you're ready. Until then, prayers for you and yours.
Place: Lago Vista, TX Comments: Oh, what a sad week this has become for so many of our SOC '66 family members. I was about to follow-up regarding Odis, but will address that separately. Ronney - I can't begin to imagine the depth of sorrow a parent must endure in the loss of a child; only to be forced to revisit that pain in a situation that threatens their unborn grandchild. That sort of sadness is beyond all that words can describe. I join our other classmates in offering sincere prayers of peace and blessings of the Lord for dear little 'Max', your daughter and son-in-law, you and Connie, and all your family, including your extended family members in Neb.
Place: OK (wishing it were TX) Comments: What a tough time the SOC66 family is experiencing. Glad we still have an active support group. Of all the people I know, we are the only group of classmates that have a special site where we can communicate. Thanks to SNL and all who keep this line of communication alive and meaningful. God bless us one and all. We surely need it.
Place: Richardson Comments: I'd seen on FB where Randall Sims, our classmate, said his wife Peggy was extremely ill and battling cancer. Unfortunately she recently passed away. We have many classmates/friends that have lost a loved one and also that are very sick themselves. We should remember them in our prayers and thank God for the health we have. The sun is finally shinning today & the leaves on the trees are turning orange. It's beautiful outside!
Place: Melissa USA Comments: Such sad news. Keeping the McKee and Sims families in our thoughts and prayers during their difficult time.
Place: Overland Park, KS Comments: More sad news. Randall Sims lost his wife, Peggy, earlier this week. 😢
Place: Allen, Texas Comments: Went to Burleson this evening to be with our daughter and son-in-law. They are doing pretty good. Both a little shaky about their baby. But, they are are strong in their faith and have put this situation into God's hands. I did find out that my wife gave me the wrong information about the deformity. The ailment the baby has (I cannot remember the name) causes sections of the brain NOT to develop. Often it is the front of the brain. And, sections of the skull do not develop. It is quite sad. But, they know the baby will soon be with the Lord and will not be deformed at all. I am now comfortable that they can emotionally handle the situation. Of course, they both teared up while we were there; but, that is healthy. Thank you for the kind support, concern, and condolences. Connie and I appreciate every one of you. And, my daughter and son-in-law appreciate the concern and support you give. Connie and I are proud at how the Class of 1966 gives so much support to fellow members. Thank you so much. I feel so much better knowing that you care.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Thank you, Randy. Was great seeing you at the recent party.
Place: Oak Cliff Comments: I am so sorry to learn of your loss, Ronney. My prayers are with you all.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Thank you, Richard.
Place: California Comments: That's a really tough one for McKee's family. No words, just wish all of you well Ronney.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Thank you so much, Paul. Needless to say our family and our son-in-law's family in Nebraska are all in grief. Luckily, having lost our first child, I know petty much what my daughter and her wonderful husband have to look forward to in the near future. Takes time to get your feet back on the ground when going through the death of a child that you are so excited to be having. We will be headed to their apartment in Burleson, this afternoon, to be with them for the evening. I appreciate your sentiments very much. Thank you again!
Place: OK Comments: I add my heartfelt thoughts and prayer at this time, Ronnie and Connie. Rest assured, you are not in this alone. God absolutely cares about your family and especially this little one...and so do we. Though I obviously don’t know them, I still feel deeply for what you and they are going through. This is truly a time of anguish for the SOC66 family. But we respond together.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Thank you, Sandy. We are taking off work early today to be in Burleson with Katie and Matt. Many more tears today. I hurt so much for them. Brings back memories of losing our first child. |
