Smart Move!  I pray you don't have to use it, but at least you know you got it!  [thumb]

Weather forecaster said tomorrow afternoon through Wednesday is our most dangerous threat in years. Tornado risk is 8 out of a possible 10. When we lived in Colorado they closed schools in advance of heavy snow but I have never seen schools closed for storms. Well, they are closing them tomorrow. 🌪🌩🌪

I hope Kathy is able to at least s-l-o-w-l-y get around today.  Watch the skies tomorrow as some bad weather is headed your way.  They don't call N. TX and up thru OK & KS tornado alley for nuttin'.  Stay safe and y'all try to both get some rest this weekend, as I know next Thurs & Fri starts another round of chemo for you.

How's everyone else doing?  Any news on classmates we should know about??

Paul - I'm glad Melissa was able to be there this week to help.  Also, good news Kathy's recovering is going well.  I can't even imagine what you're going thru Paul, but will always keep you in my prayers for you to beat this crap and come back strong a sever.  You are definitely a fighter! Don and I are doing pretty good.  Each day is new and sometimes challenging, but then, life is a challenge .  .  .   isn't it. [rolleyes]

God Bless the Class of '66!!

Sandy,
Kathy’s surgery went really well and she is recovering nicely. Melissa is here until tomorrow and has been a tremendous help. I am hanging in there. This new chemo is definitely more potent than the stuff I started with. I trust you and Don are doing well.

Paul - How is Kathy?  Hopefully the surgery went well and she is home.  When you get a chance let us know.  I believe you said y'alls dtr was coming to your house to help Kathy & you this week.  Hope you are hanging in there as well.

Thanks Don, and yes, we are all very proud of her.  You have a pretty good memory Don, as my dad passed 10 yrs ago this past March.  My brothers first name is Jack.  His middle name, not a nickname, is Oje.  It's pronounced like the two initials, O.G.  For whatever reason I've called him Oje as long as I can remember.  Long weird story about how he got that middle name!  LOL  LOL

Oje, his wife and their son are all doing well.  And obviously, so is their dtr, Laura.  [smile]

Sandy - Those were some very nice pix you posted and your niece is a lovely young lady.  I'm sure you and your brother are very proud of her.  What's her plan for the near future - teaching, major?

At the reception several years ago near Crawford when your dad passed, you introduced me to your brother, but his nickname (Odie?) escapes me at the moment.  I hope he's doing well these days.

I want to 2nd Paul's motion in wishing ALL our moms out there a very Happy Mother's Day!  That includes all those who are fortunate enough to still have their moms with them, or daughters who've now become moms.

I tried to get Kathy out of the house today - now that the sun finally came out and the rain dried up for a change.  But, she insisted on me grilling steaks later this afternoon, so I've got my orders.  Y'all know how it goes: "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

And, for those of you familiar with El Arroyo Mexican Restaurant in Austin (about 25 mi. SE of us), here's a link to one of their legendary signs, fit for this day.  I know there's an even funnier one, but this will have to do for now: https://www.google.com/search?q=el+arroyo+mothers+day+message&tbm=isch&source=hp&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjE0P_70ZbiAhUI0awKHZ9JDFgQsAR6BAgJEAE&biw=1536&bih=710#imgrc=NP1AboteKwLVzM:
