Yes, it's hard to comprehend that so many of our classmates are celebrating 50 yrs of marriage.  the Fugate's already did that more than a yr ago and now more are doing it this yr.  Happy Anniversary to Sammy & Sarah!!

The mid-summer heat is settling in and we have 97, 98 & even 99 predicted for this upcoming week.  Time to sit back, have some iced tea, and enjoy what we have while staying cool. TX heat is upon us!  But those in southern California have much to worry about.  Geez, those two large earthquakes have done some damage.  Glad to hear Richard is OK.

Dale & Don – Very sorry, guys, for the delayed post.  Just about the time you think we completely forgot about you, here comes an unexpected reminder that another year clicked by.

We hope you had a great day & were able to kick-back for some celebration with loved ones.  Best wishes to you both, today & for many more happy ones in the future!

Happy 4th from sunny Richardson!  Hope you're staying cool and having a good day.  Maybe some fireworks display tonight?  We'll be going over to lifelong friends house for some hot dogs & all the trimmings this afternoon and then home by 8:00pm.  Time enough to walk 2 blks over to Breckinridge Park & see the beautiful Richardson Fireworks display about 9:30ish.

God Bless the USA & the Class of '66!

It's been a while since I was on the Guest Book. Prayers for Charles and Dane. It seems like we are forever having to post and read about our SOC 66 classmates going through so much heartache.
God bless all of you and know your family of SOC friends are praying for you.

Thanks for the update, Sandy.  I'm obviously not close by to visit, but am heart-sick over this turn of events, given Dane's history as a DPD motorcycle patrolman.  I believe he continued to ride with some of our SOC guys for a while after retirement, but don't know for how long - others would know more about that.  In any event, I'll continue praying for him.

Comments:
I just finished speaking with Janet Hohhertz Bronstad (Dane's sis-n-law).  She said the 1st surgery was to put stints in his L leg as it had no blood flow.  After a 9 hr surgery the Dr. told them his veins were so clogged they couldn't put any stints in no matter what they did.  He was not at the hospital but rather a surgery center.  He was then transferred to Presby Plano & remains there now.

His L leg was amputated Wed & she said he's doing good.  They are discussing with Dr about finding a rehab facility.  But here's the problem . . .  as you know Dane was a Police Officer for many yrs & has lots of Police friends.  It seems they all have been coming to visit him, too many at a time & too often.  Nurses told the family he needs rest & having 6 people in the room at one time is too many!  Janet spoke with some of them & asked them to better coordinate their visits and not stay so long.  Janet suggest we (all his SOC friends) wait until he goes to a rehab facility & is doing better & then they & Dane would welcome visitors.  Therefore if you go to visit him go one-at-a-time (not large groups) and don't stay for a long period of time.  Hope this fills everyone in on what's going on with Dane.

Belated H a p p y  n r ay to Bob & Eva Bradford on 6/21!

Bob & Eva – My apologies for the delay.  Notes say you had a private ceremony on the beach in Cozumel, MX, on 6/21 & went snorkeling afterwards.  Then, another ceremony on 6/28 in Waco, TX, with family.

Major congrats & best wishes for many more!

McGee -  He's been in Presby Plano & is still there as far as I know.  I've reached out to Janet again for an up date and if visitors would be welcome.  I haven't heard back from her. As soon as I get anything I'll post it here.  I agree, he's going to need a lot of friends and support but, until his wife Debbie, or his sis-n-law Janet, say it's OK to have visitors at hospital or home, I'm holding off.

We're all praying everything went well with the surgery but no word yet.  Very scary.  Let's keep up the prayers for his recovery.
