Place: Calif. Comments: That's a funny one Don. By the way, you should sign up to FB. I have found it's a great way to not only express one's inner thoughts and feelings, but you can lose a number of friends along the way. It really cleans up and simplifies your life. Just sayin'. ...and kidding around
Place: LV, TX Comments: I know we haven't chuckled about anything on here for several days now, and the clouds may darken again at any moment. So, I'm just gonna throw this out there, because I heard Kathy giggling about something and knew it was on FB, and I'm not, so she sent it to me. Short, simple and a bit corny, but hey - I don't see any competition. It's apparently a stressful note written in someone's diary while trying to diet and cut down on sweets: "Day 12 without chocolate - lost hearing in left eye" That's it!
Place: LV, TX Comments: H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Charlotte (Hilburn) Walker & Charles Hilburn, today, Aug. 7th! Place: Richardson Comments: Just spoke with Janet. Dane is home! She said he could sure use some cheering up, so let's make some calls, go see him, send some cards, etc. He needs to know we are still his friend and we care. They still live at the same house in Plano, it's listed in our 45th & 50th reunion directories. OK SOCites, let's show Dane some love!
Place: OP, KS Comments: Update from Geneva Young - "Cindee is doing remarkable well considering all she has been through. Thank you so much for your prayers. She is a tough cookie. They put her in a room last night. Lots of pain meds etc, but she is doing well. Hopefully she can go home soon. They have decided it was her tooth causing all the problems. Cellulitis from the tooth. They made an incision under her jaw to drain. Lots of pain." Love to all - Carol
Place: Richardson Comments: James/Geneva - Have they found out what's wrong with your niece? I sure hope so. I know it's a scary situation when you don't know what's causing her all the pain. Let us know when you can. Thanks!
Place: Overland Park, KS Comments: Posting this with the permission of James Young's wife, Geneva. "Please say a prayer for Jim’s niece, Cindee. Rushed her to ER yesterday with what was thought to be an abscess tooth. Dentist wouldn’t touch it. Surgery last night to remove tooth. Didn’t seem to be the problem. Praying for answers." Thinking of James and Geneva and their family. Love to all - Carol

Place: Richardson Comments: We did it! Dylan, Daniel & I went indoor skydiving at iFly in Frisco today. Wow, what a rush. We all loved it!! I've always wanted to fly like a bird & today I did. If you've never heard of it, check out the site at ifly.com It's like jumping out of an airplane except you aren't 2K feet in the air. One of the instructors also performs amazing acrobatic tricks that will knock your socks off while your waiting your turn. He looked like Spider Man on steroids! He did things that were beyond amazing. |
