Comments: SNL...I live in North Dallas...well at least I live North of Dallas...I have a wonderful 2600 Sq Ft 4 bedroom two story that I will sell you much cheaper than you will pay in the areas you are looking. I'm just not sure that If the commute from Desoto or Waxahachie is to far...I must assume that the commute from my N. Dallas location would be to far. LOL (Lots of Levity)
Comments: Mascara in your bra to warm it up...I probably will get in trouble for this but Jack's ICE HOLE...or something like that, or similar...might be another place...but I would believe you would have to be a prison inmate to enjoy that episode...man I know the GB Patrol is gonna kill me...but McM...with just an Eyeball view...I didn't know you had extra room in your bra for mascara...now I know I'm in trouble! Bye
Comments: Linda -- We're gng to look in the Far N. Dls area. We've lived here in this area since the week after we got married nearly 23 yrs ago. It will be N. Dls (cd be N of LBJ or even a little bit S of LBJ) or a little North like NW Plano. But we won't go south like Desoto or Waxahachie, that's too far south for us. We're North Dls people and everything we do is in this area.
Comments: Toni - Thanks for the sweet thank-you note. I agree that we should get together (lunch) more often. Fridays are good for me, although this Friday I'll be spending the afternoon at the beauty shop. There may be a recession coming, but I can't give up the beauty shop. I need all the help I can get. SNL - Are you looking for homes north of LBJ?
Comments: ..and SNL is right.
Comments: Sorry annette..I'll try to be a kinder, gentler west coast kind o' guy. Do you intend to continue with the stand-up routine?
Comments: Toni, can you think of a warmer or more secure spot??
Comments: Sandy Joe, doesn't that make your property taxes go sky-high....the higher than usual appraisals...unless you dispute them each year? SNL, good luck on the house hunting! Sandy McM....you're too funny....mascara in your bra....does that work?
Comments: Congratulations to the weight-loss group. I know it is a difficult thing to do. Sandra - how is your mascara doing? Did it work better after you warmed it up? Good idea! We have lots of windows at work and of course I sit by one. So yesterday and today, to help keep my feet warm, I've worn my old wool skiing socks and another pair of socks over them.
Comments: Congrats annette!!! I'm glad it all finally worked out & you're headed home soon!!! ![]() Everyone be sure to check our EVENTS pg for the date of our next Get-Together!! It's an easy date to remember . . . 6-7-8!!!
Comments: All I can say is that by the Grace of God we sold our Big A** Calif. house 2 years ago, sold off our construction business 2 months ago, and are moving to a state with real nice people---and I won't have to hear anymore that Texas is "Just Fly-Over Country!" I'm so SICK of the East and West Coast attitude!!
Comments: I always hear about taxpayers picking up the loss on failures of this type. But, I've never figured out how. I know politicians and the press say it, but how does flow through to the taxpayer. It would seem that the PMI folks would take a loss on whatever they didn't recover from a foreclosure sale. The FDIC only insures bank deposits(in a failure), but even they run on funds paid to them by banks, as does the OCC. The term "gov't bailout" sounds like taxpayer money, but it's a pretty broad term that usually means a gov't loan or guarantee is made. (I only ask this because it's late in the day and I'm bored again...you know how I get).
Comments: SNL, the house next door is for sale. It's a white elephant, mortgage scam bought from Drees and sold 3 times. Another in Woodhaven was bought by a lady from Calif. Paid $440,000 and had it appraised for $850,000. They paid off the appraiser, mort. co., and agent. This lady owns 200 of these houses. It is in foreclosure, and taxpayers will pick up the loss.
Comments: Yes Toni, we've been out of our house for 6 yrs ( was only going to be 2 to 3 yrs) and we've now decided we are going to stay in the local area. Yes, we originally had "other plans" but then funny thing happened . . . LIFE!! So we're gng to Plan B, or maybe it's Plan C or D, but yes we're going to get back into a house again. Like you said, there are some real good bargains out here & they get better each month!
Comments: 30 degrees with 100% humidity and that's in Texas. It's so cold in my house I have to put my mascara in my bra 30 mins before I put it on. No comment about the FEDs, No comment about the stock market, no comment about HILLARY CLINTON. That's the problem with America. We don't speak up. It's just easier to complain to one another. ![]() ![]() |
