Comments: JWT, We lived in Chester, VA from 72-74. My husband was the dentist at the Federal Reformatory in Petersburg...in the Public Health Service. Really liked the area and almost stayed there.
Comments: J.D., you really had a drop in temp.....how many degrees was the change? I hope that is not headed my way. Be sure to wear gloves so your hands don't get cold.
Comments: Sandy McM, yes, I lived on Narboe...across the street from Bobby Roper...near Debbie Durrett (Mr. Durrett died last week). I was one house away from Bonnie View. Didn't you live on the Kiest end of Dugall...near the Biggs family? How does your daughter like Cali? Any trips planned to visit her? How is Janice's daughter, Jana? Did you go to the Magna Vista Riding Stable?
Comments: J.D., it's 30 here this morning, my f-250 is warming up. How do you start cars in those temps? Do you park inside a garage? I assume it takes a lot of time to deal with the temp and snow each day.
Comments: Shortcake...did you receive my note in the mail?
Comments: Mr. McGee and all of you living in Texas. I am pleased that you have sent us your 50 (+) mile an hour winds to my wonderful winter land. Because you were so kind it is -5 degrees this morning...that's 5 below zero for all you people in DeSoto...with a - 35 wind chill factor...again, that's 35 below zero for you people in DeSoto. Our poor baby Bichon...Miss Abagail went out for her morning business and came back limping...her feet were so cold. So, I will try very hard to return a favor of similar consequences sometime in the future...
Comments: Karen that girl that won all the swim races was Ann Knight. That's the girl Phil Wilkerson made her play left handed before he would play her. Clara Oliver won the city meets about ever time we swam 3 or 4 years in a row. Have a paper pic to back up, Paul Jennings, Ann (67),Coach Turner, and me (priceless).Pretty much dominated the word of softball in parks too. GO ROCKETS !!! David still looking for song name
Comments: SNL, look at the blanks. It just takes one!
Comments: JOKE -- How many classmates does it take to get the right lyrics to the song? Apparently 3! LOL LOL I love it! I think David went to bed!
Comments: Boy, the GB has been busy tonight. Sandra McMakin and I met in the 7th grade at Oliver Wendall Holmes. I also met Sherry Kanaday in the 7th grade. I always felt lucky that I had 2 best friends throughout school. In jr. hi. we were the 3 muskateers. Rick Watts - Thanks for the compliment that all SOC girls are special. Since I just met you last year, I'll call you Rick, and let SNL have the special Rickypoo. What does your mother call you? I got 3 new lip balms for Christmas. Lip balm is good. I remember playing softball in our yards and getting hit in the stomach with a ball and knocked off my feet. I still remember how it hurt. It was fun playing hide n go seek at dusk. We could play outside till dark back then. Now, I wouldn't let my grandkids go in my front yard in daylight without me out there watching them. Times have changed.
