Comments: 11:30 a.m. and Linda can join us asap.
Comments: Yes, I meant you Toni, I was just trying to remember to congratulate Karen, Duh! Hattie's is kinda of a girlie place, is that OK? Linda you can change clothes at Courtney's, so bring them if you want to. Deb we're southwest.
Comments: Debbie - I sent you an email about Friday. Ladies, I don't think we'll need a Mapsco but I'll bring it just in case - along with my weapons!
Comments: Does anyone going on the field trip live anywhere around me in Mesquite by Eastfield College/Town East area? I don't have a car to meet up with yall if I'm able to go Where is the meeting place? DEB
Comments: Sandra, Toni - OK, I should be free approximately noon. I don't think Methodist funerals last longer than Baptist (1 hr.). I have to provide food in the morning, but do not have to stay for clean-up. I'll probably be wearing my funeral attire, to save time. So let me know what your plan is and I'll meet you. Sandra, thanks for all your help helping me getting prepared for my meeting last night. There were 19 there, so I had just enough seats.
Comments: Shortcake Reynolds - - Congratulations of being honored for your tireless & outstanding work for a very noble group!!
Comments: OK, guys. We won't get lost. I'm over there once a week. From Bishop, after lunch, we can get on 35 and go south to Illinois east, then the tour begins. Remember Toni and I lived right off of Illinois close to Kiest. You can still pray for our safety though. And if we do get lost we keep it to ourselves.
Comments: Karen u are too COOL. In bed with the best brotherhood in town. Big heart for a little lady. Do u sleep on the job too?
Comments: Karen, if we eat around Bishop, you can leave your car at my daughter's on Kings Hwy. The drive is fenced in. Waiting to hear from Linda. I think she will be emailing us this morning. Deb, we still have one seat available. Congratulation Karen, that's wonderful to receive such an honor.
Comments: I can't go Fri but I'll give you some first-hand suggestions. I've eaten in O.C many times in last 3-4 yrs as they've had a lot of the '63 luncheons there. The Bishop Arts District Jack mentioned is a real winner. Get out your Mapsco or look up the addresses in Rand McNally on-line to see how the streets flow. The Arts District mainly runs down 7th st between Bishop and Madison and many of the restaurants are on 7th st & Bishop with some also spilling over onto 8th. I've personally eaten at Hunky's, Cosmo Rouge & Tillmans. Hunkky's is a throw back to the 60's & has great burgers, malts, & other stuff. It's loc @321 N. Bishop Ave 214-941-3322. Also the always good El Fenix is a short hop when you take the Colorado exit off I35. Charles & I met several times at the El Fenix when he was doing our badges for the reunion. Toni it's a good place to leave your car ( highly visible & no hidden areas in the parking lot & always lots of traffic going by). Ya'll could meet there & go in one car. One last suggestion, I've also eaten 3 times at La Calle Doce & it's good food too. Ladies, that's my personal experience in O.C. restaurants and I've never felt uneasy at all at any of those places. They're all highly visible with lots of traffic & no I was not the only blonde person in any of these places. Oh, & all the Bishop Arts parking is right in front of the bldgs. Good Luck Girls & Have Fun!!! ![]()
