HAVE A GREAT DAY! Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.... All I can say about the "field trip" is "what a time warp", seems like we never left Oak Cliff; finding all our old "haunts" , like we never left!!!!
Comments: Apologies to the GB---I'm so far behind I'll never catch up. I'm going through stuff I haven't gone through in over 25 years. Very emotional experience and exhausting experience. Maybe we should've just left it till we die, and let the kids deal with it! Happy Birthday Bobby Bradford! I was so heartbroken to hear about your son's loss.
Comments: You girls please don't say anything about Cedar Crest Golf. It is the secret of Metro golf. Once home of a US Open in the 20's, now with a 8`iron fence is a great place to play today. for a mind game to the guys that played it, remember # 2 par 4 as a young buck fading it high to the green on tee shot. putt two times for birdy. Now you are happy to putt one time for bogey. # 5 par 4 shaped like young lady's figure. Your tee shot above the belly button in the good old days with a short iron to the green. Now your tee shots on the kneecap wishing u had something in the bag to go 300 yds up hill and be satisfied with the beach in 2. oh i love C.C.
Comments: I had a great time riding around looking at the old places. I don't remember how Boude Storey looked or the homes around it. But as it will, alot of our Socites went there. I was so worn out, I had to take an Aleve as soon as I got home and rest my mouth (much to my husband's happiness). Anyway, I thought that for the most part all the homes looked pretty good (for their age and care). Happy birthday Bobby Bradford. It is a beautiful day today, and's your special day.
Comments: Pool Guy - I'm very sorry, but Kathy & I don't recall the names, George & Judy Hearn, from N'Awlins. You're welcome to give them my e-mail or tel#, if you like. That'll get you out of the middle & then, maybe we can resolve it directly. In any event, thanks for the info & kind words.
Comments: BTW - Billy was listed as 'William C. Relf' alongside his photo in the '64 Den.
Comments: Richard - I found Billy's name on the 'virtual wall' link & will maintain a record of it: WILLIAM CHARLES RELF

MOS 0811: Field Artillery Cannoneer
REASON: This is the more specific "what happened" code for the casualty. NOTE that "misadventure" is often a nice way of saying "friendly fire."
Comments: I'm so glad you girls had a good time. Can't wait to see the photos. And no arrests...I'm really proud of you girls! And speaking of proud, JD you are doing great with the weight loss. Happy Birthday Mr. Bobby B. Hope you enjoy lots more.
Comments: ![]() Toni, I did collapse, right on the sofa after cooking dinner. I really enjoyed our trip (3.5 hrs) and would go back in a minute. I think the biggest difference was the paved roads instead of the rounded black top. We forgot to go to Deerpath Shopping Center. I may get my sister to go over there with me and takes some pictures. We shared lots of laughs and memories. Thanks for the lunch JD, that was SPECIAL. I thought we were drawing names to see who got to ride in the front. Bobby Bradford, HAPPY BIRTHAY ![]() ![]() ![]() Celebrate !!!!!!
Comments: Relf was '64 as it turns out.
Comments: Don, there was a kid named Billy Relf from '65, I believe, that was KIA (died inside an armourd carrier I think). I went to his funeral. As a technical matter, I'm not sure he waited to graduate before enlisting...but, he did his part.
Comments: oh, dear...I'm thinking the others that went on the Roadtrip have collapsed. Perhaps they're all talked out... ![]() ![]() ![]() . Annette, not sure about the sink! It really looked more like a small butler's pantry to me!! JD, I almost forgot - and the winner was....(big drum roll, please)...Sandra McM...to the tune of ten big ones...I ended up the banker!Biker Bob, make this a special birthday...you deserve it! Give our regards to Eva and your family.
Comments: JD/Buddy - I attended the 25th anniversary of The Wall this past Nov., during the weekend before Vets' Day. I offered to make etchings of names from The Wall for family, friends & co-workers while I was there. I posted that note on the '65 website because some of our classmates wanted an etching of Rocke's name. I needed to know the panel# location, but couldn't find his name listed in any of the web searches of 'Nam vets from TX. When I tried dropping TX as his home state & left it blank, I found his name & hometown - College Park, GA. The SOC names I knew of & found were: ROBERT W HOOK (SOC ’66) Panel 32W - Line 21
LARRY DOUGLAS FRALICKS (SOC ’65) Panel 18W - Line 32
WILMA J BARR (SOC ’65) Panel 22E - Line 119
CLOYDE CYRIS PINSON JR (SOC ’65) Panel 19E - Line 99
ROCKE DARRELL RAMSEY (SOC ’65) Panel 25E - Line 32
Here's one of the links for Rocke (also, click bar below panel# labeled 'Click Here'):
