Comments: We had our first Avery incident yesterday; she ran into a pole at a mall and broke her front tooth. I don't know about you folks, but my grandone even getting a hangnail freaks me out, let alone broken body parts. She is doing fine, however and will undergo her first significant dentistry this week.
Comments: Yep, from the land of fruits, nuts & flakes. Guess we'll accept that one . . . seems to be valid!!

Comments: KMG, it does read like a weak excuse. How's this; an old football injury was acting up and I was in too much pain to party...(didn't play football)....how about, the weather was too fierce to get out...(party was in my room)...I just can't come up with one right now....how about I flaked.
Comments: Great and encouraging news about Christie! The power of prayer is truly amazing. Will continue to keep her in thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEAUTIFUL ROSEMARY ZAPATA COOPER! I ran into Rosemary a few weeks ago at the beauty salon (as if she needed any!) and she looked great as usual. Excuses, excuses, Richard. Admit it, you were embarassed to have family meet your uncouth, unruly and unrestrained former classmates. No, that can't be it because Darryl Litchford was there and he's just like the rest of us. Oh did I tell you? SNL has moved the June get together up a week. (Shhhh, let's play a little trick on Richard).
Comments: SNL, when I arrived at the hotel, my soiree was rapidly coming apart...wrong room. I couldn't get it straightened out until Saturday when they moved us. The gathering ended up smaller than I anticipated...20 or so, mostly from Oklahoma, a few family folks and the Litchfords. With the weather Friday/Saturday, I'm surprised anybody got out for anything.

You came on GB & told us abt the soiree you were throwing at the Anatol & to stop by . . . then you never answered us as to "when" & "where" it was in the hotel. We wanted to come by after Gilley's!!

Comments: Just returned from a Dallas weekend, only to read about Christie. I do hope she is doing well. I think I've known her since grade school. We went to the El Fenix downtown, but when they found out we were ex-socite's they nearly turned us away. Apparently there had been a ruckus a week or so ago by some SOCite women....really raised some @#$@#.

Comments: Good News About Christie- - I have recvd word she had surgery yesterday (2-18) btwn 4:00 & 8:00pm. Dr. told them it was successful & she is now resting comfortably in ICU!!! The family again asked that we NOT CALL THE HOME! While in ICU only immediate family will be able to see her & go in. As soon as she is moved in to a reg rm they will let us know & then they will welcome calls & cards!! Of course, you can send cards now to her house & someone will bring them to the hospital. Prayers work ... continue them for her full & rapid recovery!! The surgery is over & now she can start recuperating! Now we can all breathe ...

Comments: Yes, her family knows how much we care about Christie & it was her dtr & son that made the request for us not to call as they wanted some quite "family time" with their Mom before surgery. In Adam's em he said he'd let me know when she goes into surgery. Just for the record, I know 2 people personally that have recently had this surgery & both were 100% successful & they are both doing great!! Christie is feisty & strong-willed (duh) and she'll be fine. How would you like to be Christie's kids ... in her room trying to keep Mom off the pho & resting!! Now THEY have the HARD job!! Send up a few prayers for them too!! |
