....with any luck at all...some of us may be color blind and not realize that jacket is red!  We will definitely want a picture of Sandy Joe in the Red coat with his musket!  Shortcake, crank up the battery in your new camera.  I just knew you couldn't get through one more RV show without buying a new ride!

Everyone knows how I met Bruce...or at least I thought everyone knew.  e-harmony would be a good starting place.....but you'd be wrong....American Singles....yep....that was the place.  .....well it wasn't quite as fast as the icon typing here....lol

Sandy Joe; did you take any history courses? Were you awake in any part of any of them?? I don't think you want a RED coat. Ever hear the phrase "The red coats are coming, the red coats are coming"? The English wore red. The Americans wore blue or buckskin or civies. You may get yourself kicked out of this group before you get sworn in.

Congratulations, Sandy.  I know your uncle is proud.  (Is this the uncle that is/was a police officer?)  But the question is what do they do?

Sandy Joe, If you want a red coat and musket, you need to come up here and visit me.  Lots of American history up here.

Toni, Sandra McM, Happy Jack, I know they meet once a month, there was a blood pressure machine at the door, and the avg. age was 70. I guess the D.A.R. cooks the meal for the S.A.R., lots of soft, chewy food, with 2% milk. I can't wait to get my Red coat and musket.

I know how Toni met Bruce  but I think that in the spirit of friendship, and also because she has a lot on me I'll let her tell her own story

We went to the RV show yesterday and I think we are going back out there this afternoon and trade our RV in on a new one!  We found one that we really like and they made us a deal that is really to good to pass up on the new one and on ours.  Although ours has been really great and we have never had any problems with it.  The one we are looking at is just a tad longer. Upgrading a few things.  This one is a good buy - only about 50,000 miles on it!

Dave, sorry to hear Shirley is sick.  Let her rest, give her plenty of fluids & soft comfort food ( no greasy fired or spicy stuff).  If she has fever, 2 Tylenol every 4 hrs will help.  Hope she's better in a few days!!

It's going to be sunny & beautiful here in Dallas this wkend ... everyone enjoy it!

Tonight I am Doctor Dave. Shirley has the flu. Are there any classmates that grew up and became a nurse? Or does anyone have an old grandma recipe I could mix up?

I have been given a new moniker...so bare with me as I try and hone my image and try and make it NAUGHTIER...apparently some of you think I have always been NAUGHTY...and maybe I have...but I like it that way.

So, Toni...how did you meet Bruce?

Pool Guy...I don't actually know that my ancestors fought in the revolution...but I have copies of letters from General Lafayette (who did fight on the American Side of the conflict) writing to his good friend Michael Garoutte (my direct descendant)  who came to the U.S. before the revolution because he had taken liberties with a chamber maid (today called RAPE)(which was punishable by the guillotine...and his first cousin King Louie XIV (the 14th) told him to leave France or die...)...I do know that he loaned the fledgling government at the time money to help purchase guns and ammunition...but fight...I don't know.

However, I am a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America...and a friend of many who fought in that conflict.

Jack, I contracted lodging, meetings and banquets for them.  Most of the ladies were so old they had to be propped up.  I wasn't about to ask them about to explain the organization to me. It took long enough to plan the details of the conv.

Pardon me while I catch up;
Richard, I must say that doesn't surprise me much. Goes to show that the media or most people can't define "assault weapon" much less recognize one.

Pool Guy: Can't help you on that one. Most probably when the revelation was taking place my relatives were mowing the grass at St. Andrews or still indentured servants in the mother country. Besides, I didn't think they would let Oak Cliff kids in such an organization!!

Sandy McM: How did you "did" the DAR's convention if you don't know what they do? Ever been to the DAR house at Fair Park??

I know how Toni met Bruce.
