Comments: I'm proud of you Susan, 10 yrs is quite a accomplishment. I have never smoked but I know it is hard to break a habit. I am sure you are more healthy because you quit. I have a habit named Marilyn, That's one habit I don't want to break.
Comments: Today is my 10th anniversary as a non-smoker! Never thought I'd see it! I smoked 2 1/2 packs a day for 23 years! Now I can't imagine such a thing! PTL!
Comments: I have green eyes, so I don't have to worry about wearing anything green. Also, have my green tea with me. One of the young guys in the office didn't wear green because he wants to be pinched. He's cute too
Comments: Ok - so I have just gone back and read 30 pages of the GB and figured out what I missed from being away from it for a little while. Thanks for sending out the pics of the new RV JH
Comments: HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY! Don't forget to wear green or everyone will want to pinch you! Yesterday was really a great day - for cleaning out the old RV and getting ready for the new RV. Unfortunately on the way home from church I noticed the guys at one of the stations were playing their guitars and got sidetracked and just had to stop. I did get home and got a few things cleaned out. Can't believe how much stuff I have collected up here! Have a great "Green Day" everyone! ![]()
Comments: Sam, no I have no plans to sign up for the cruise. But I hear they are lots of fun. There are still plenty of places on dry land that I haven't seen yet.
Comments: John, Marty has had a very slow healing process. He has had 3 additional surgeries. He's much better now. What has bothered him the most is missing cat fishing in a year and he had to quit the push dance club temporarily. Marty, my younger brother Ross, and I traveled to McGregor, Tx this past January to make mom's pre-funeral arrangements she requested. Marty was getting around pretty good. You could barely tell he had a limp. Thanks for asking. I'll call him tomorrow night and tell him you were thinking about him. Are you planning on going on the cruise?
Comments: Memo to Sam Smith: I forget you are the brother of our Marty Smith (Cl of 63). Most men would not publicly admit kinship (ha). The last time I spoke with him was last year after he had broken a leg while attempting to enter his fishing boat at Tawakoni. How is the healing process going?
Comments: That's it JD. You got Blackjack!!
Comments: I guess I'm just so asleep..and I don't drink coffee in the morning...6-7-8...is that 21?
Comments: Thanks Sandy. My older brother Marty is a '63 SOC grad. He was the bear mascot. Any of you "63 grads remember him? I'm told he was one of the best mascots to put on the uniform. Did a lot of dancing on the sidelines and end zone. I'll check with him also. Seems like I remember him talking about a cruise coming up next year with a bunch of SOC grads. I'll give him a call. This will be Sarah's and my first cruise. Should be really special since it will be our 40th wedding aniversary next year.
Comments: Sam - -the cruise is not just for our class. It's open to all SOC classes and a good number from 63, 64 & 65 go on it every yr. I personally don't , but know a lot who do & they always say it is fabulous! Mary Kay Crowder is from class of 64 & works for a travel agency. She gets good deals & arranges everything. The people who go on these regularly say it is wonderful. Let her know if you're interest & she can fill you in & get you signed up.
Comments: Any one have the scoop on the Soc Annual Cruise next January? I was perusing the GB and saw it. Is this for the class of '66 or combination of several classes? Here's the thought for the week of 3-17-08: Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
Comments: JD - - Pay attention to Toni's post. That's 3 times you have referenced the get-together as being 6-8!
Comments: J.D., the rest of us will see JS on 6-7-8.... |
