Sandra -- Me, too.  It's steadily raining now.

Wasn't John Travolta in the movie "Pulp Fiction" that went backwards?

Happy Birthday Gordy.  Have a wonderful day!
Linda, I made it before the rain.  It's a good day to be home, sleeping late or reading with a cup of hot tea

Happy b'day Gordy. KMG, I can only remember a "Seinfeld" episode that was in reverse order, and I suppose one could mistake Michael Richards for Brad Pitt if you had enough martinis, glue and coke in your system.

Happy Jack Hawkins, give me a ring when you have a minute. I have visions of a 42/ poker night in our future. Small wagers, cold beer, lots of trash talk. Think anyone would be interested?Gotta have Dagley, Moss, Fugate,Watts,Browning, Smith, any others? I'll go to the Cherry Pitt and find Dagley if needed.

Update on Christie - - I s/w Alan Torbett & he sd she did get a "pass" to leave the Rehab Cntr for a few hrs this wkend!!  Didn't get to go home , but did drive around a while & had lunch at a restaurant.  Still scheduled to start radiation treatments this Thursday.

Alan sd it looks like she will be released this wkend and they will take her to Amy's (dtr) house.  Christie & Bill (husband) will stay with Amy while she goes thru 6 wks of radiation treatments.  After tda, I don't think I'd send anything to the Rehab ctr as she will probably be gone by this wkend.  I will get Amy's home address so we can still send her encouraging & funny cards.  She is doing good, but it is a long slow road back to recovery!!  Keep her in your prayers!

John Southworth - I liked your comments about "No Country for Old Men."  I agree with what you said, although I don't want to think that hard after watching a movie.  It was a good conversation topic with husband and friends.

Happy Birthday Gordy Johnson.  Hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.

Sandra, hope you got to work b/f the rain started.  It is "murder" on the freeway when driving in the rain.  Many of the idiots come out of the closet (so to speak).

Got mail yesterday that my youngest daughter passed her teacher certification for Spanish.  She took it b/f and failed by 2 points.  After her getting used to teaching/dealing with h.s. students in DeSoto, she plans to teach there again next year.

Happy Birthday Gordy!!!

Richard can you (really Mary Ann) come in a day early for the 6-7-08 get together?? Oh, what's her favorite drink?? Now, where did I put that recorder?

Southworth: Is your blog down for the count?? Good to know that you believe in creeping evil. Maybe you haven't completely crossed over to the dark side!

Don L,  I looked at your wikipedia article. I remember seeing the "Memento" movie about short term memory loss But like Karen I can't remember anything about it.
I guess I must have memory loss.

Sandy McM - I guess you're off the hook, since some of your friends chimed in & cleared up the enema & cane thing.  I was similarly ambushed with a surprise b'day 15 or so yrs ago.  I was presented with a 'old fogey survival kit' by some CG friends in New Orleans - Kathy was the prime conspirator.

It contained all sorts of stuff that you might recall seeing in your grandparents' bathroom - over-the-counter meds, ointments, laxatives, Geritol, anti-acid tablets, reading glasses, etc., plus a dandy assortment of gifts for older guys - from Spencer's, of course.

Now, I wonder what the shelf life of that stuff is?

I can just  hear the movie trailer now..."You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll kiss $10 bucks goodbye!..."

Okay classmates, I need your help. I'm trying to remember the name of a movie but I don't have much info to go on. It's about 8 years old or so, the lead character reminded me of Brad Pitt a little, and although I don't remember the exact plot of the movie, the gist of it was that it kept going backward, to the scene that would have preceded the one you are watching, back and back, piecing together what you were seeing from end to beginning instead of the other way around. It was offbeat, violent, funny, strange but entirely intriguing. If that strikes a note with anyone, please tell me the name of it. I would love to rent it and see it again.
