Comments: Linda, that's funny about your granddaughter. That will be a story she'll hear for the rest of her life. It's been busy here today, so no time to read.
Comments: Ronny -- Remember Art Linkletter and his book, "Kids Say the Darndest Things?" Our little precious ones could be a funny story in the book. Did you play the french horn in h.s.? I think that's great you play the f.h. at church. They always need good musicians. Our church has a small orchestra and it really enhances the songs. Sandy McGee -- I told my daughter (who lives in McKinney) that I know someone who puts in swimming pools in the area. She has alot of 30 something friends who might be putting in a pool, so I gave her your company name. Since I told her you graduated with me from h.s., she asked me if you were fat and bald. I told her "No" that you still had hair and not fat, that you haven't starting schrinking yet. How tall are you? I told her you were either 6 ' 1 or 6'2".
Comments: I just caught up reading the GB, Thanks to all for the well wishes on my anniversary. Ronney, 29 yrs is a good start, you may make 40 if Connie keeps you.
Comments: Streaker Rick, if you are going to crash one of these women lunches, better grow a beard. You saw how well Happy Jack worked his show at Hooters. Facial hair, open collar, Texas slang, big tips, will melt em' every time.
Comments: By the way, Shortcake, you owe Glynda a big thanks. When my Mother realized what you said about me, she was ready to come out side and kick your ****!!! Glynda calmed her down and old her it was just a love/hate relationship we have. Mother asked the waiter if he had your credit card number so we could let you pay for lunch.
Comments: Thanks Toni and Linda, Mare and I have been married for 40 yrs. and looking forward to another 40. Next time you girls eat out, tell me where so I can accidentally show up.
Comments: Now, Linda P., I just bet you prompted your granddaughter to say that!!!!!!! That's as funny as when I looked at my son after his first week in kindergarden. We were in the center section, three rows from the front and he had both had up in the air shooting the preacher the finger. The things he learned in kindergarden.....HONEST, he did not learn it at home!!!!
Comments: Took me awhile to read the GB to catch up on the news. Glad you girls had a great lunch, and your surprise "guest." Hope I can make it next time. Charlotte, I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. I will pray for your family. Karen is right, your brother is no longer in pain or suffering, but standing tall with Him. Happy anniversaries to Don & Kathy, Ronny and Connie, and Rick and Marilyn and many many more. Happy birthday again to Robert Norman. Hope your birthday was a good one. In church yesterday my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter said out loud, "Unlock the door," while the preacher was trying to make a point by having a real door on the stage and knocking on it. The preacher didn't hear her, but the people in the rows around us sure did. "Out of the mouth of babes."

Comments: thanks, ladies, glad you enjoyed the cookies. I really slaved over them!! I really enjoyed the lunch on Saturday. We really should do that more often and, if we talk about it on the GB, then we can expect all sorts of "company"....which is really okay with me...the more the merrier! Jack, it was really nice to see your mother. She did look surprised to see all of us. FYI.....I'm still without hot water....that house is turning into the money pit! I'm really to move. Sandy McM....at least you have a place to read that book....I mean....at least you have a job...that's a good thing! Happy anniversary Rick and Marilyn.....Don and Kathy...and of course, I couldn't forget the snake charmer and his lovely wife either!

Comments: What fun it was to crash the girls luncheon Sat. Walked in the door just as Susan was on the way out. Wish I'd had a camera. The look of surprise on her face! She asked "do the girls know you are coming? Is this a coincidence"? She took me back to where the girls were leaving. My Mother turned to Glynda and said "I think someone just stole our man". Glynda said "they'll bring him back". Mother later said she didn't think I knew that many girls at SOC. I guess that leaves the question, was it a coincidence or do I have a confidante in the group?? Only the shadow knows. Thanks for the cookies, Toni. They were great!!! Our waiter kept saying how cute they were and how good they looked. Think he was hoping for one. So I left one as a tip.
Comments: Enjoyed the lunch Saturday!! I agree with the consensus ... good food, good conversation and good friends can't be beat! And the bonus was running into Jack, Glynda and Jack's Mom. My first thought was, "How did he know where we were going to be?!" Toni, thanks for the cookies!
