Sandra - Sorry about Courtney.  I know how painful that is.  Maybe the specialist can help her.

Friday after jazzercise I need to run an errand in Midlothian, but was thinking we could have a late lunch.  Have you been to the new Dillards yet?  I would like some nice summer weight slacks.

Linda, I'm home, I meant I will be home the rest of the week.  Probably drive Courtney to the doctor this afternoon.  She passed a kidney stone last night and has really been hurting.  She goes to a specialist at Baylor. First one she's had in a while, thank goodness.

Sandra -- sounds like you have a regular job these days.

I did my GREEN thing today and walked to work.  It was windy but nice.  After it cost me $69+ to fill up my Durango (I know that's not alot compared to some cars, but alot for me), I decided I can walk more often.  Besides, I got my summer haircut and it is SHORT.  Not much hair to blow around.

Sandy McGee and Bovie -- how about Harvey Korman and Tim Conway??  What a pair; they were always cracking each other up.  Sandy, I did tell my daughter that you were "square jawed" and was voted most handsome in h.s.  She asked, "Was he stinkin hot?"  In h.s., I didn't really know what that was.  I'm sure SuSu thought/thinks so.

SNL, if you could get McGee and Bovie in your backyard at the same time, that would be like having Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin for entertainment.

Linda if I don't post early, you'll know I'm home.  Looks like I will be here the rest of the week.  Another beautiful day, but it's so windy!  I really need to do some yard work, but my allergies will throw a fit.
Sandy glad you closed on your house.  I know you  and Don are excited.
Toni, I really enjoyed the Easter cookies.  They were delicious.  You are too sweet.

Ronny -- how nice that you travel(ed) around playing your french horn.  What a gift.  I admire anyone who can play an instrument.  I took piano lessons in grade school, but not long enough to accomplish anything but to learn to read music.  Then I took accordian lessons.  My mother made me play for my relatives whenever the opportunity arose. I hated that.

SNL -- congratulations on the acquisition of your new home.  You bought at a GREAT time; I bet the sellers were happy to see you.  Sounds like you are going to be customizing your home to fit your needs.

I want to see pictures from Saturday's lunch.

Hey Miss Sandra -- are you working today? And are you working all week?

Mr. and Mrs. SNL, congratulations on the new homestead. Sounds like you need a beautiful backyard pool to enjoy after a day of painting. I have only one left to build, but such a deal I could do for you. The pool comes with weekly service by my Cabana Boy Bovie Browning.

Today is the big day . . .  Don & I close on our new home!!  If I've seemed a little absent from the GB or busy lately, it's because we have been house hunting on the weekends and the last 3 weeks doing all the paperwork for the loan & closing!!

We aren't moving in right away.  We'll take a few months to paint 4 rms, redo the master bath, redo the kitchen with all new appliances & few other little things.  Now every minute of every weekend is filled with hunting for just the right items & picking out new faucets, sinks, double ovens, counter tops, etc!!  The house is in far East Richardson right off Renner & Brand Rd.  It's close to Fire Wheel Golf course & the Fire Wheel Mall.  Of course we moved further east as I knew Donnie wanted me to be much closer to them so I could come over more often!!

Just wanted t  let ya'll know I'm not ignoring you . . . I'm just realy really busy!!     I still read GB every day but don't always have time to type.

KRL - - I'll be looking for those pictures!!  The ones from Sat & the ones of us girls in the cool car!!!!

Linda P.: Yep, I played the French horn in high school. I blew that thing while you kicked up your heels on the footbalol field. Those WERE the days!!

I went for almost 20 years without playing my horn. Then, I got it out and worked my talents back up. I have played in a 150+ member orchestra in Fort Worth, in the Dallas Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, for other churches, and throughout The Netherlands, Poland, and the Czech Republic (when it was still Czechoslovakia). I am getting a little tired of playing it; but, I know that if I quit, I will get all figity until I play again. So....

Linda P., thanks for the modest description. Still 6'1", and can tie my shoes. Playing a little golf, working out, gotta give Tushie Boy Browning a hard time in June.

Jack - I am sure that you told your mother that I meant every word just so I would have to pay for your lunch .  Just remember that what goes around comes around.  I can always talk to your nephew (he's the sweet one in the family)
