Comments: Took me awhile to read the GB to catch up on the news. Glad you girls had a great lunch, and your surprise "guest." Hope I can make it next time. Charlotte, I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. I will pray for your family. Karen is right, your brother is no longer in pain or suffering, but standing tall with Him. Happy anniversaries to Don & Kathy, Ronny and Connie, and Rick and Marilyn and many many more. Happy birthday again to Robert Norman. Hope your birthday was a good one. In church yesterday my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter said out loud, "Unlock the door," while the preacher was trying to make a point by having a real door on the stage and knocking on it. The preacher didn't hear her, but the people in the rows around us sure did. "Out of the mouth of babes."
Comments: ....and I'm also READY too!
Comments: thanks, ladies, glad you enjoyed the cookies. I really slaved over them!! I really enjoyed the lunch on Saturday. We really should do that more often and, if we talk about it on the GB, then we can expect all sorts of "company"....which is really okay with me...the more the merrier! Jack, it was really nice to see your mother. She did look surprised to see all of us. FYI.....I'm still without hot water....that house is turning into the money pit! I'm really to move. Sandy McM....at least you have a place to read that book....I mean....at least you have a job...that's a good thing! Happy anniversary Rick and Marilyn.....Don and Kathy...and of course, I couldn't forget the snake charmer and his lovely wife either!
Comments: Glynda knew we would bring you back.
Comments: Glynda's funny! She knows you. And she knows us!
Comments: What fun it was to crash the girls luncheon Sat. Walked in the door just as Susan was on the way out. Wish I'd had a camera. The look of surprise on her face! She asked "do the girls know you are coming? Is this a coincidence"? She took me back to where the girls were leaving. My Mother turned to Glynda and said "I think someone just stole our man". Glynda said "they'll bring him back". Mother later said she didn't think I knew that many girls at SOC. I guess that leaves the question, was it a coincidence or do I have a confidante in the group?? Only the shadow knows. Thanks for the cookies, Toni. They were great!!! Our waiter kept saying how cute they were and how good they looked. Think he was hoping for one. So I left one as a tip.
Comments: Enjoyed the lunch Saturday!! I agree with the consensus ... good food, good conversation and good friends can't be beat! And the bonus was running into Jack, Glynda and Jack's Mom. My first thought was, "How did he know where we were going to be?!" Toni, thanks for the cookies!
Comments: Amen, to your last sentence Ronney. It gives us "Hope" Ada, I heard "Amazing Grace" again on the way to work. Chris Tomlin sings it. Be sure and listen to his version. Happy Monday to everyone. (And yes, Toni, it looks like another slow day. I'll try to read)
Comments: I hope everyone had a great Easter. Our's began on Thursday afternoon, when we drove to Huntsville to visit our daughter at Sam Houston State University. While there, Connie's uncle from Richmond met us in Conroe and bought us lunch. We then ended up in The Woodlands, where our daughter wanted to buy her boyfriend a birthday gift at Sam Moon. We came home yesterday. Today, after I performed two services as the principal French horn in our church's orchestra, we celebrated Easter with a friend's family in Mesquite. GREAT food and fellowship. I hope everyone's holiday was as enjoyable as mine. Most of all, I hope everyone gives thought and meditates on the reason for this holiday. This is the most important religious holiday of the year.
Comments: Happy Anniversary: Don & Kathy L., Ronney & Connie McKee, Streaker Rick & Marilyn Watts. Happy Birthday Robert Norman, are ya feelin' old? Hope everyone found the Easter Egg they were looking for!
Comments: Many of you know Jeff Balthrop, he graduated in '67. He and his wife sang the offertory this morning at church. I wish you all could of hear it. It was beautiful and quite moving. They sang "I've Just Seen Jesus". Everyone was standing before the end. I had goose bumps all over. Hope everyone has had a blessed day and your week will be the same. Remember Christie and her family in your prayers.
Comments: It was an absolutely great lunch at Houston's today with the girls. Next time Glynda will have to join us instead of you Jack - not that you aren't good company but she probably would have had a good time with us! ![]() ![]() Happy Easter!
Comments: Just finished preparing food to take to an Easter Dinner with my daughter's future in-laws Sunday afternoon. I haven't met them yet and looking forward to it. Right now I'm looking forward to hitting the sack because I'm beat. Great lunch at Houston's today, girls. Looking forward to the next time. Charlotte, you can take comfort in knowing your brother is no longer debilitated but rather standing tall in the arms of his Maker. Happiest anniversary wishes to all the March blissful couples and belated birthday greetings to "old man" Robert. A fantastic accomplishment by all.
Comments: Well, it is not as annoying as the yodeling Easter chicken animation that is circulating, but I found this animated catalog page to be of interest: http://producten.hema.nl/ Merry Easter to one and all.
Comments: Don, I missed you and Kathy. Happy anniversary to you guys too! |
