Ronny -- how nice that you travel(ed) around playing your french horn.  What a gift.  I admire anyone who can play an instrument.  I took piano lessons in grade school, but not long enough to accomplish anything but to learn to read music.  Then I took accordian lessons.  My mother made me play for my relatives whenever the opportunity arose. I hated that.

SNL -- congratulations on the acquisition of your new home.  You bought at a GREAT time; I bet the sellers were happy to see you.  Sounds like you are going to be customizing your home to fit your needs.

I want to see pictures from Saturday's lunch.

Hey Miss Sandra -- are you working today? And are you working all week?

Mr. and Mrs. SNL, congratulations on the new homestead. Sounds like you need a beautiful backyard pool to enjoy after a day of painting. I have only one left to build, but such a deal I could do for you. The pool comes with weekly service by my Cabana Boy Bovie Browning.

Today is the big day . . .  Don & I close on our new home!!  If I've seemed a little absent from the GB or busy lately, it's because we have been house hunting on the weekends and the last 3 weeks doing all the paperwork for the loan & closing!!

We aren't moving in right away.  We'll take a few months to paint 4 rms, redo the master bath, redo the kitchen with all new appliances & few other little things.  Now every minute of every weekend is filled with hunting for just the right items & picking out new faucets, sinks, double ovens, counter tops, etc!!  The house is in far East Richardson right off Renner & Brand Rd.  It's close to Fire Wheel Golf course & the Fire Wheel Mall.  Of course we moved further east as I knew Donnie wanted me to be much closer to them so I could come over more often!!

Just wanted t  let ya'll know I'm not ignoring you . . . I'm just realy really busy!!     I still read GB every day but don't always have time to type.

KRL - - I'll be looking for those pictures!!  The ones from Sat & the ones of us girls in the cool car!!!!

Linda P.: Yep, I played the French horn in high school. I blew that thing while you kicked up your heels on the footbalol field. Those WERE the days!!

I went for almost 20 years without playing my horn. Then, I got it out and worked my talents back up. I have played in a 150+ member orchestra in Fort Worth, in the Dallas Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, for other churches, and throughout The Netherlands, Poland, and the Czech Republic (when it was still Czechoslovakia). I am getting a little tired of playing it; but, I know that if I quit, I will get all figity until I play again. So....

Linda P., thanks for the modest description. Still 6'1", and can tie my shoes. Playing a little golf, working out, gotta give Tushie Boy Browning a hard time in June.

Jack - I am sure that you told your mother that I meant every word just so I would have to pay for your lunch .  Just remember that what goes around comes around.  I can always talk to your nephew (he's the sweet one in the family)

Linda, that's funny about your granddaughter.  That will be a story she'll hear for the rest of her life.
It's been busy here today, so no time to read.

Ronny -- Remember Art Linkletter and his book, "Kids Say the Darndest Things?"  Our little precious ones could be a funny story in the book.  Did you play the french horn in h.s.?  I think that's great you play the f.h. at church.  They always need good musicians.  Our church has a small orchestra and it really enhances the songs.

Sandy McGee -- I told my daughter (who lives in McKinney) that I know someone who puts in swimming pools in the area.  She has alot of 30 something friends who might be putting in a pool, so I gave her your company name.  Since I told her you graduated with me from h.s., she asked me if you were fat and bald.  I told her "No" that you still had hair and not fat, that you haven't starting schrinking yet.  How tall are you?  I told her you were either 6 ' 1 or 6'2".

Streaker Rick, if you are going to crash one of these women lunches, better grow a beard. You saw how well Happy Jack worked his show at Hooters. Facial hair, open collar, Texas slang, big tips, will melt em' every time.

By the way, Shortcake, you owe Glynda a big thanks. When my Mother realized what you said about me, she was ready to come out side and kick your ****!!!  Glynda calmed her down and old her it was just a love/hate relationship we have.  Mother asked the waiter if he had your credit card number so we could let you pay for lunch.

Now, Linda P., I just bet you prompted your granddaughter to say that!!!!!!! That's as funny as when I looked at my son after his first week in kindergarden. We were in the center section, three rows from the front and he had both had up in the air shooting the preacher the finger. The things he learned in kindergarden.....HONEST, he did not learn it at home!!!!
