Sandy Joe, I don't need someone to watch for my shots 400 yards down the green...more like 125-150 yards. Although I've been known to get a worm burner 200-300 yards if there's not too much in it's path. Since Bovie's retired now, I wouldn't want to impose on him. Maybe I'll look into getting a "seeing ball dog" (do they have those?) to locate my errant shots...or the good shots for that matter.

Sandy Joe, that is truly a creepy video. I'm surprised the driver of the truck wasn't from India. I worry about what sort of jobs will be left for my two twenty yr. old kids. Their options seem smaller than those we once had.

My good friends, everyone should Google JobMarket2009.wmv. I would copy it and send it to your grandchildren. I see this 2-3 times a week at the labor center in McKinney. Our world is changing......

Ms. Karen MG, I no longer have the problem of seeing the golf ball. I send my caddy (B. Browning) sprinting down the middle of the fairway 400 yds. and have him await my tee shot. I will be happy to loan him to you the next time you play. Ignore the thong, just pat him on the head every few holes.

SNL, can you let me know where the June 7th get together is going to be? And can we get special rates if we want to stay , and will that rate be good for Friday night too, and who do
I contact, and who will be the bartender, and what time does it start, and what time will it be over? And is someone going to give us any gas money? Thank you. If I have any more questions I'll just call you at home tonight. You're not busy tonight are you?

OK, I'm going to tell you the same thing I hear every day on switchboard recordings - - -  "Please listen carefully to all the options, as our menu has changed"

Today, I had to start from ground zero to get us a place for June 7th.  Everything done up until late yesterday is out-the-window!  Fer getabout it!!!  Here's what I got for us now!

Our June 7th Get-Togeter will be held at the Double Tree on Luna Rd.  Same place it was both times last year.  It will begin at 2:00pm and run thru about 6:00 or 6:30.  We have a good room rate of $79.00 per night.  This applies to both Fri & Sat nights.  And yes, Stacy will be our bar tender!  She's good!  They also have a Buffet breakfast 7 days a week from 6:00 to 10:00am.

In order to reserve your room please call my contact, Rhonda Erwin, direct at 214-496-2771.  Tell her your with the SOC Group on June 7th & reserve your room.  She'll need a cr cd.  Do not call the hotel main # or 800 reservation lines if you want the $79 rate. You must talk with Rhonda!  If you can't call long distance from work, then Email her & she'll call you back.   She does not work on the weekends.  Her Em is: Rhonda.Erwin@Hilton.com .

I'll post the info on the Events pg tonight when I start working on reorganizing our site. It will be there tonight.

If any one has a problem with these arrangements- - see me.  I might warn you . . . this has not been a very good week, especially the last 2 days!!

SNL, what would we do without your hard work and dedication to this website? You're the best! Thanks!

I have a question for all you old duffers, I mean golfers. I used to play golf and loved the beautifully manicured greens, trees, water (actually I hated the water hazards; I kept getting the "water magnitized" balls for some reason) and the generally beautiful surroundings of the courses. What I started having trouble with was being able to follow the ball's flight through the air to where it landed. It would sort of vanish in the blueness of the sky. I was spending more time trying to find the ball then moving it down the course. How do you guys overcome this? Yes, I wear contacts.

The system was still running slow this mrng so I called Network Solutions.  I got a very nice guy and he said "I can't believe how many pics you have on this site!"  Seems we are maxed-out due to all the photos!  He was so nice & said he was going to give me a Free Ugrade as I've been a customer since 2004!  I will now have more pgs so I can spread out all the photos allowing the pgs to run faster.  But I can't load up any more pics without making a bunch of changes and spreading them out over new pgs!

I'll try and make the changes tonight as I'll be on the go all weekend!  Good news is that we have more space at no extra charge!!!  Be patient . . .  I'll get the changes made and then we won't have to delete the old pics to add new ones!

bUTTERFINGS McGee- have you ever played wind breaks on the greens ? the par 4's in to the wind were par 5's. the par 5's with the wind were on the green in 2. sNOWMAN - put a bounce of pars together then have some triples sneak in. cUFFMAN dribbled off the box but always had a make able par put. me I was lucky to nail some long putts to stay with the big boys. wind gust off Lake Lewisville had to gust 40+
