Bay Watch Buddy, played lots of baseball with Jimmy Ross. Good guy, went to N. Texas, have not seen him since the early 70's.
Bovie is up for golf Thursday, if you pop the string on his thong, it'll cost you a stroke.

Deb M C-plug in (bookmark)http://www.chu65nang67.us/nam/vietnam.html  1800 song of the past. I think Dr Dave will back me our generation of music will play long after we have gone. I know dear Lori will always remember Al's song. I do remember Ross. A lot of good friends from Sunset, Kimball and Adamson but the best are the HOMMIES from SOC.

That Dale, he's always getting his compadres in trouble. Apologies to SNL. Hawkins now tells me that "s/w" is code for "smoked with". What would one smoke to be as happy as John T.?

KMG, a guy in the Fire Wheel Farms? part of town stiffed me on some critical Miata parts. Took him to Small Claims Court in early Feb. and won a judgment of $1,049 plus court costs, legal fees etc.

He still refuses to pay, so today I slapped a lien on some property he is attempting to sell in Garland. We'll see if that brings him around.

Regarding Small Claims Court, I now know that over 80% of the awarded judgments NEVER GET PAID. Think twice before you enter that messy realm. All those Judge Judy, Judge Alex, People's Court shows are just for entertainment. I can promise you that it is RARE that any of them collect a cent of what the bombastic Judge Judy awards.

But I'll have to admit that there is a certain tangible "energy" you experience in the court room.

JS, before you are neutered by SNL for your last comment, give us more details on the Abstract Judgment or whatever it is.

I am with you, Sally. I cannot imagine people not wanting to return the call. And, especially David. That's not like the David I remember in school. And, you are right. We are not trying to be nosey. We just like to hear how everyone is doing, whether good or not so good. What a story all of our lives would make. Sort of like a Robert Altman film. So much diversity.

I've spent all day running back and forth to Small Claims Court to nail down an "Abstract of Judgment" against a weasel in Garland.

Just now catching up on today's guestbook comments and I noticed where SNL said:

"I personally s/w John T & he is very happy... "

Not being familiar with Sandy's shorthand I asked Dale S. what "s/w" means and he says he thinks it is "slept/with"?

No wonder John T is happy.

Hey Buddy C., last Fri. I finally tracked down an "oldie but goodie"- "Let's Stay Together"- Al Green for my niece and new nephew in law. They heard it on a classic station while in CA. in the Air Force and just had to have it for their first dance together at the reception. "I think it played in your time Aunt Deb", my dear Lori said. Remember saying that to my parents. Anyhow, the record shop owner (only one in the whole yellow pages that had it!!!) and I started remembering oldies and he had everything I sang or asked for. He said he grew up in Oak Cliff (where else) and graduated from Sunset (we all can't be lucky to be SOCITES), seems like he knows you9 and Chipper Johnson. His name is Ron Ross and bro Jim Ross graduated in "67" from Adamson and knew yall very well.  Small world. He asked how Chipper Johnson died, when  and I couldn't remember.

I can't believe people would not want to talk to anyone who called from SOC, especially you all who were tracking us down-- you are all wonderful and thoughtful and not at all pushy or nosey.
I am always amazed to hear on the GB,the wonderful places people are living and the different things they are doing with their lives-- Hawaii, for example--how do people actually get there and work there?  just amazing.  Most of us have fond memories of growing up in Oak Cliff so it is nice to see and hear from old friends.     People just don't know what they are missing!!

Memo to future reunion committee members:
Don't go to the time and trouble of printing and distributing a directory. Seems we have reached the point where we either;
1. Forget we have such a resource, 2. Have lost it, or (heaven forbid) can't figure out how to use it!
JUST KIDDING GUYS!!!
It doesn't contain any details, but it does let you know IF we found someone, even if they didn't want to give us any info. In some cases we were only able to provide last known info.
Some didn't want to be found or provide any info to us.
The search team devoted alot of time and expense to research, track down, contact and get info on everybody we went to school with. Even those who left before graduation. The ones who drove me crazy were/are the ones who are members of Classmates.com or reunion.com but didn't want to share their info with us. Why join the school dot coms and then not want to be in touch with your classmates?? The sad/scary ones were the ones that are not even in touch with their family anymore. The rewards were the ones who were happy that we went to the trouble to find them. Even if they could not join us for the reunion, they were happy to be remembered. And the great joy of getting back together with y'all. The looks on the faces of friends who have drifted apart when they do see each other again. That defines joy and happiness.

Just for the record --  All 3 were contacted and the info in our Dir is correct.

I personally s/w John T & he is very happy in HI.  He owns his own landscaping business and said it is a great life.  I actually t/w him twice but he said he just couldn't get away to come to the Reunion.

Bobby is corr about Mike P.  & he t/w us but didn't make Reunion.

David White is another story.  Yes, he's a Dr in the Minneapolis area & we have his correct # but he moved & he doesn't want to t/w us or give us any info.  Jack and I both tried more than once to reach him.  Once David answered the pho but when Jack identified himself David suddenly said he was just leaving and to call him later!  Then all Jack got was a voice mail.  But then, I think that happens a lot to Jack??!!    after numerous messages we took the hint & decided he wasn't interested!
