Comments: That's good news on the Don front. Ada, we know that this is the hardest thing that any of us go through. The ones we have always known as "being in charge" are no longer and we can't step up and do for them. It is so hard. Hope you can feel the thoughts, prayers and love coming your way and hope that will help some. Sandy McM, I thought the silver turban got you immediate seating at all Indian restaurants and the right to order off the menu. The gold turban is required for entrance to the VIP area. (turn down the camel, they are NASTY creatures)
Comments: Ada, I feel your pain in your writing. I have been there, so I am one who knows what you are feeling. You mentioned that the Lord might not be ready for her just yet. His will WILL be done. But, not taking her to be with Him now may not be for her. Perhaps it is for you and her other loved ones. God often uses these times to bring us closer to Him. it is OK to question the Lord. He doesn't even mind if we yell and scream at him. He uses those times to reach us. So, besides grieving and hurting for your mom, take time to realize that He loves your mom and He loves you. Realize that He knows what grief is and he is there to comfort you. And, realize every minute of the day that you will be with your mom again. I pray that she is not suffering, that she is not totally aware of what is happening to her body. And, I pray that God embraces you and holds you in His hands. Put all of your sorrows and worries in His hands. Your mom is already in His hands. We (your classmates) love you very much.
Comments: Ada, I do know what you are going through, it was the same with both my parents. I would just go home and cry, never letting them see anything but the positive side. Never questioned. Did ask God to take my mother. My heart and prayers go out to you. Love ya, Sandy
Comments: You & your Mom are always in my thoughts & prayers Ada Ann. And yes, sometimes it good to talk & let out the frustrations & fear. We're here to listen & console. I love you!
Comments: Thank you, SNL. Sandy McM, Mother is getting weaker and weaker. This woman who would (at 70 years of age) drive ALONE from Dallas to CA can no longer do anything for herself. She has no dignity or privacy. Those of you who have gone through this know what I mean. I think that this lack of independence for her bothers me the most. The quality/quantity issue is really showing...I know that I am not suppose to question His decisions, but on this one, I don't understand. I still pray Thy will be done, so I guess He is not ready for her. Please keep her in your prayers. Thanks for letting me talk....I needed it this morning.
Comments: Ms. Sandra Mc, he ain't got any.....don't tell him you have a two hump anything, the boy will move back to Dallas.
Comments: DWF and Main Squeeze, told ya he's tough as a boot. He's putting all of us on, wants to come home and take a golf lesson with me. I need a helper, $8.00 hr., plus lunch, come on home, plenty of exercise and a suntan included.
Comments: That's good news about Donnie. Barb, you and Donnie are both in my prayers. Good to do follow up! Ada, how's your Mom? McGee, I may get a two hump camel and a magic carpet. Want'a ride ?![]() JD, don't get too much sun on the golf course, you're not use to the weather. Be sure and let us know how many balls you loose. ![]()
Comments: Sandy, thanks for letting us know about Barbara and Donnie. I've been on pins and needles all day!
Comments: Ada Ann I'll send you Christie's add at Amy's house tonight! I heard frm Barbara & she & Donnie are bk hme at his apt in Albq. He's tired . . . no rest in a hospital . . . but feeling better. Barb sd hospital couldn't give them any reason why he had heart attack symptoms but that he didn't have a heart attack! They're gng to see his regular Dr there in Albq tmo. She's hoping to get more info frm Dr., but if not, she's bringing him bk home to see his cardiologist.
Comments: I've lost Christie's address....I looked back in the GB but couldn't find it....can anyone help me????
Comments: I'm anxiously awaiting a call from Barbara regarding Donnie's diagnosis. I'll let ya'll know as soon as I hear anything!
Comments: First chance to check the GB today and was surprised to hear about Donnie. Barb, we love you and Donnie and hope and pray for a good report from the doctor and a fast recovery. I'm here for you too, so let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Jim, so glad to hear you are doing well following your surgery. Jack is right, take it easy while you can and don't overdo. Toni, can't wait to see photos of your trip as well as Shortcake's also. I tried to imagine the Mimosa "toast" at the Hotel del Coronado but it was not quite the same as being there and actually having one. We will have to "redo" on 6/7/8. ![]()
Comments: Mr. Young don't go back to the old grind. Try a new grind. Ease into it. No sense in rushing things. It will still be there later. Glad that you are up and around. Look forward to seeing your "new" moves in June.
Comments: Sandra Mc, win a silver turban, do you get a pink car, wiggle your nose, and grant wishes? |
