Comments: Mrs. DWF, based on Alvin's comments, could you tell Don's Doc you know 17 friends of his that would like to have the same operation. Can we get a group discount? J.D. would fly in for this.
Comments: DWF and Bride, how ya doing Hardhead? If you feel like it this week Happy Jack and I'll buy lunch. Call when you finish the Honey Do's.
Comments: Linda P., go to the SPCA on Industrial and find your dog a playmate. I've had 4 pets from them, the dogs are loving, loyal, and know you will take care of them. Save a life, and look for the wagging tail. Kinda like dating in high school......
Comments: Sandy McM - we both send you our thoughts and prayers on the loss of your uncle. WE know he was very special in your life. Susan - Don said he has a list of honey dos that he would be glad to let you do.
Comments: Susan -- I know what you mean about pets. After we had to have our 12+ Rotweiller put to sleep, I said that I never wanted another dog. We have a 7 year old border collie that we've had since he was 8 weeks old and I just dread going thru it with him. My border collie was raised with a Dachound and Rotweiller so he has been lonely being an only child. He does have our 2 cats to keep him company, but it's not the same as having another dog friend. Sometimes, I think about getting him an adult female to keep him company, but still think about "saying goodbye." Pets are such good friends. We've had a cat and dog cremated and they reside on the hearth of our fireplace in our bedroom, and the dachound is buried in our back yard with his collar and dog tags. Who'd think. Donnie and Barbara -- praying for recovery and peace.
Comments: So sorry about your dear uncle, Sandra. How wonderful that you got to say goodbye. Susan, a beloved pet can sometimes hurt almost as much as losing a relative. My heart goes out to you Buddy, I'll keep Gretchen in thought and prayer. Deb, whatever you do, don't watch "The Tingler". You might have a relapse. ![]() Donnie and Barb, we are all hoping and praying that everything goes well and the doctors will fix you up pronto.
Comments: Good to see you post, Alvin....you have been awfully quiet. Will you and your Corvair be there in June? Gretchen is in my prayers...too young for so much surgery. Susan, I understand about your puppy....they are so important in our lives. Our old girl is nearly 13 and really showing her age.
Comments: Don & Barb, Hope everything is OK but I want to let you know I went thru the triple by pass in 2001. If that is what it takes to clear up his problem, I think the angioplastey was almost as bad. You have to lay perfectly still for 8 hrs. Both of you guys need to get as much rest as possible. Don in case they have to operate and Barb cause the operation will make Don feel 20 yrs younger. Better grease those bed springs to keep em quite. You both are in my thoughts and prayers.
Comments: BLB, I'm sitting here watching 'CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON" 1957't know if I need an extra heart pill from me and Alan laughing so hard or being scared!!!
Comments: Donnie - You had better get well
Comments: My thoughts and prayers to everyone and their families; Buddy with your daughter Gretchen, Sandy Mc your uncle and Donny and Barb yall couldn't have gotten a better hospital. I have had both my problems corrected there- thanks to GOD and my Dr. Michael Mack heart surgeon. Don't be surprised like me, if you forget you're in a hospital- seems more like a "super duper hotel"!! GOD Bless everyone and their families. Comments: Barbara and Donnie, you're absolutely on the prayer list! You're also on my worry list ... not that that accomplishes anything! Donnie, I'll go over to your house and do your honey-do's for you if you'll just get well! I love you both! Sandra, your uncle sounds like a very sweet man. I almost started crying reading your story. I know you're happy he's with his Savior even though you'll miss him terribly. I've been crying a lot this week. Last Saturday, we had to have one of our Beagles put down. He (Maximillian) was 14 years old, and had numerous health issues. He held on, but we had to let him go. I get so attached to my babies. (Rats! Now I'm crying again.)
Comments: Ooopps!!!! That should have read: Allen - the weather is here; wish you were beautiful.
Comments: Don, you little rascal!!!! You trying to make Barb think that a golf game will make you heal faster than the honey-dos? haha!! Makes perfect sense to me....and I don't even play golf!
Comments: Buddy (Bear) Capps, oldest, daughter, Gretchen had three disc removed this past week, she also needs our prayers for the pain she is going through and for her complete healing. I hope you don't mind that I posted this Buddy. |
