Comments: TRJ, do the grand puppies look like you or more like Bruce?
Comments: Toni -- The 1st time I saw one of the cavalier spaniels was in 1983 when I was riding down a boat in England somewhere. A man had the dog and we asked him what type of spaniel it was and that is what he had. Congratulations upon a successful birth. I bet the puppies are real cute. I never could watch puppies being birthed. Too yucky and scary. Of course, I was in elementary school. But even now, I think it is.
Comments: Toni, bring pics of the new babies on 6/7/8 so we can ooh and awww over them. JS, I saw one of those Joe Cocker Spaniels once. It was wearing a ripped t-shirt and had a very raspy bark.
Comments: John S.....they are the most loving, beautiful and cuddly 'hounddogs' you'll ever come across. They were originally bred for royalty in Europe. They do live up to their name...cavalier! The ultimate snob/lap dog!! Thanks, Susan. That was my first r-e-a-l experience in birthing puppies. Now if Bruce is gone when the other female decides it's her turn, I won't pass out...not exactly for the squeemish! ![]() ![]() ![]()
Comments: Toni, congratulations on the new grandbabies!
Comments: Toni, I had to Google "cavalier king charles spaniels" after reading your post to see what you were speaking of. Kind of an upity name for a hound dog, isn't it? For my money, I still lean toward the ever-popular Joe Cocker Spaniel.
Comments: Sandy McM....you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, and I'm very sorry for your loss. How wonderful that you were able to spend that time with him. Ada, I like the way you think! Susan, I'm so sorry for the loss of your four-legged family member. On a happier note - one of my cavalier king charles spaniels (both are preggers!) had her puppies yesterday - she had two females and one male. Mother and babies are doing well. Sandy Joe....I hope you have better luck with the lunch with Happy Jack than I did. He invited me to lunch and never followed through....and I was perfectly will to pay my own way! Thanks, Richard for your response. Betty is one of my cousins in Calif. and she is in banking. She thought sure she knew you. ![]()
Comments: Sandy - When we leave McKinney, we usually go to Market Street and buy Boars' Head Turkey and some other stuff we can't get in Duncanville. Next time, we'll meet at the Deli Section. I did get to the Starbucks 2 times at the Croatian Village. NICE!! Well, I hope Bovie is able to tell the wrong side of his underwear from the right side and backwards from frontwards. It was a little difficult to convince a 2 yr old that she was putting her underwear on all wrong. Maybe Charlene has better luck with him. All that glitters is not gold or on right.
Comments: Linda P., I waited in the produce section at Market Street but did not see you, next to the apples. Glad your grandaughter likes the glitter, Bovie has been a big fan of this for years, he likes to be shiney.
Comments: Sandy McGee -- Did you feel my "presence" in McKinney this weekend? We were babysitting our 5 and 2 1/2 yr. old grandkids while their parents went out. It was fun and enlightening. My granddaughter wears underwear with glitter in it. That's new to me, but when I saw them they were all shiney. I got to see "Enchanted" for the first time. It's a cute movie. Whenever I'm in and about in McKinney, I always look around to see if there is anyone I know from SOC. Also, good recommendation for getting a new pet from the SPCA. I just haven't totally made the commitment in my head yet. Sandra -- glad Ashley flew in and you've been able to spend time with your kids; I forgot to ask you if she was able to come. If I can help you out please let me know.
Comments: Gee that really makes my day on a Sunday---the "popular" kids used to see us "nerdy" kids as The Dog Pound! Fun!
Comments: 66ers- Thoughts and prayers have been a blessing on my Gretchen. U guys of 66 i can't thank u enough-thanks Sandy Mc- once again u are just an Angel flying around too close to the ground. keep up the good work DWF-keep it in the fairway, stay out of life's traps, don't stray OB's, and most important do the one putt for a healthy life
Comments: Let go and let God. That is my rule of thumb.
Comments: Sandra McM, it takes great courage to speak your heart as you did. Good for you, girl!
Comments: Sandy Joe McGee! You just wanta' play better golf ![]() ![]() ![]() Waiting on the girls to get ready for church,.. looks like we are not going to make it. Courtney hurting with another stone. We're suppose to be at Laurel Land at 1:00 p.m. to finalize everything. Picked up Ashley from the airport last night and had dinner with all the kids..it's a great feeling to all be together. My youngest said yesterday that she can certainly see God's hand in all that has happened in her life (lots of bad/but the good always out weights it) and that she is thankful for it all, she's crying as she's telling me this, said she wouldn't be the person she is today without it. Thanks for the calls and the prayers. There are a few in the family, not related, that are not Christians and don't have a clue. What a great time to witness. Last week God put something on my heart and I never followed through . I was at work and thought it not appropriate to get on the GB. I know I should have anyway, because he had given me the words. Now I will just stumble through... I don't know how many of our classmates that do not know the love of Christ and cannot comprehend our praying for one another, for not only the little things, but the big things. I believe this is the bond that has brought us together after all the years. Please don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask one of us if you don't, and want to know God as your personal Savior. Your life will be changed forever. In fact you don't have to ask us anything, you can just ask Him to come into your heart. Start reading His word. (Not the Old Testament, but the New) Going to brunch with the girls. Love to all |
