Comments: The following article is in today's Fort Worth Star Telegram. Thought some of you might be interested. The Lone Star Film Society, well in advance of its 2008 film fest in November, has named Dennis Bishop to the post of festival director. Bishop, a Dallas native, is currently based in Los Angeles where he is a producer and filmmaker. He has worked in the entertainment business for three decades, including as a vice president of HBO Pictures where he supervised the final production of such movies as Barbarians at the Gate and And the Band Played On. His film festival experience includes working with the AFI Dallas International Film Festival and the Austin Heart of Film Festival. "We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Dennis' experience and stature in the film industry as director of this year's Lone Star International Film Festival," chairman of the Lone Star Film Society, Johnny Langdon, said in a press release.

Comments: Cheezehead, miss a three ft. putt for me. What a treat to play that course. Saw DWF and Happy Jack yesterday. Both handsome and full of BS as usual. Came up with the Golden Bear Open for the mini. I'm going to set up a monthly game with Budman and the Cuffman, open for all to join. Great way to grow the group. We may let you join. Travel safe.
Comments: RN...beautiful grandchildren...I couldn't help but noticed that Hunter has followed your hair style...very stylish! McGee...Augusta...today...don't care if I shoot 500...
Comments: Richard your grandchildren are beautiful. I know you are very proud of them. Thanks for sharing the Brooke's success with us. McGee, you must be retired with all that golf your playing. I'm surprised JD hasn't come down to play he can't seem to stay in his backyard to play, he's flying all over the country.
Comments: RichardN., great story, beautiful young lady. She will be successful, good blood lines. Does she have anything I could sell to backyard customers?
Comments: By the way, both girls are single (4 years old may be a bit young). But any of you that has an unattached child or relative that's a heart surgeon or hedge fund manager, let me know and we'll introduce them. I thought about Bovie's son "Bovie", but most fathers-in-law like to slap the son-in-law in line now and then. In his case, he can kick all of our @#!#$! as he's an iron man, or cage fighter, or something like that...Sandy Mcgee probably knows.
Comments: Richard, there is nothing wrong with a little shameless self-promotion or bragging about our children or their children, it's been done here before. Congratulations on both counts.
Comments: Richard....I guess you are so proud!! I know I would be! I'm going to send this to my cousin. She is on the board of directors for the "Y" and they have functions all the time. She might possibly be able to give Brooke some business!
Comments: Sorry about this folks, but it's Dad's bragging rights. The attached link is an article that came out today in the OC. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/agnes-avery-favors-2030775-name-home
Comments: Richard, Avery and Hunter are r-e-a-l-l-y growing! They are adorable. Mr. Fugate, glad to see your back and getting around...your better half had a lot to do with that I'm sure! I visited with Christie yesterday, and she shared with me the sending up of the balloons in celebration of last day of radiation! She has had some rough days and some really good ones too. One of her sons took the entire family out to dinner which was the first time in a very long time they were all together. She is going to be able to see Dolly Parton perform when she's here at Nokia soon thanks to a very great bunch of people at Fox 4. She's really looking forward to that. Surely, all of us could do something for her as well. SNL, any ideas? Cheezehead, now would be a good time for you to chime in! |
