To all the veterans from the class of 1966 and other SOC classes...I pray that your Memorial Day was good.

God Bless each of you for your service to this country...and protect any and all of our children or grandchildren if they are serving during this time of war.

I am late on our Military website...but hope to have it on line soon.

I just opened the GB for the first time this weekend and discovered the news about Christie.  I knew this day was coming, and it is such sad news.  She will certainly be missed.

Amy has provided the info regarding the services for Christie.  You can also check her Blog at http://christietorbett.blogspot.com/ as Amy has written a nice eulogy.

They have asked for donations to DREAM Fund rather than flowers.  Full info is on the Blog.  Family visitation will be on Fri, 5-30, between 7 -9 pm at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville.  Funeral services will be Sat, 5-31, 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Duncanville, 323 W. Wheatland Rd. @ Santa Fe Trail. Burial will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery.

I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of class mates.  Getting old has many blessings and cursings.  One bad thing is that we have to start laying our loved ones to rest. The wife and I are up here alone and most likely will go the same way.  The Lord has been good to me , giving me such a loving woman, whom I thought I would never have, living on disability tries my nerves sometimes but I am coming of the age of retirement.
I would like to come back to Texas one more time before my father passes on but can see no way. oh well , I will keep you people in my prayers.   Love Robert and Jolae Norman

Ms. Christie, you were a class act. The drinks we shared with Eilene at the bar during the parties were full of your dry sense of humor and smile. I appreciate your friendship, you will be missed.
I never forgot how you looked at the 10 year reunion. Some of us thought you were a New York runway model. My dear you were stunning, and will always have a place in our hearts. God bless you kid.

We just got in from Texoma and I made the mistake of reading the Guestbook, I'm so sorry to red about our dear Christi. Great memories I will never loose from Oliver, Storey and SOC- for the longest I thought her and Eileen were sisters ( I guess in a way they are). GOD  Bless you dear, dear Christi and your family and peace and love also to your husband's family. Also, reading the Sunday paper, my son kept for me, I read that Eddie Stevens had died in Allen and his funeral is Tues. He went to Storey and then lost track of him since he went to "Adamson", but I always remember him and his JFK impersonating, talent shows and everywhere.  Love to all  - DEB

I didn't know what to do this morning, I felt lost.  So I searched my files for the photo Christie liked and posted it on our In Memoriam pg.  I put it up early before I left the house.  It's her favorite picture!
