Yes, shame on you JS.  Norma Jean, named The Duchess by Bo, was something else.  The info on the Net showed her in a gold lame skin tight suit and she was hot!  The article said a reporter once asked her "how" she got into that suit & she quietly pulled out an over-sized shoe horn!!!    Gotta love a lady with a sense of humor who could also play that guitar!  It said she passed away in 2005.

Linda P....here's a thought.....leave something else valuable in your car....over $150.00 and then when it turns up missing, call the insurance company and make a claim....did I just say that?

SNL, I had the same question in my mind as you, regarding the guitar-playing girl in the Bo Diddley videos?

If you "Google" Bo Diddley and go to the Wikipedia entry, they explain that the woman is Bo's older sister ... Ho' Diddley.

KMG - Our homeowner's ins. has a $500 deductible and my iPod cost $350, so no.  We had a trailer stolen from the side of our yard in '07 and the same thing happened.  We couldn't file it on our homeowners, but we did call the police and had a police report, so we took it off our income tax.  Those iPods are so small, I bet lots are stolen.

I loved watching Steve Allen. When I was a youth, my parents demanded that I turn off my TV and go to sleep. They would make me leave my bedroom door open so they could tell if the TV was on or not. I would close the door almost all the way, turn the TV away from the door, have it turned down so low that I had to put my ear by the speaker to hear it and then try to keep from laughing during his show. Steve Allen was not afraid to do anything. Like when he got the entire audience to follow him and march through the small grocery market next door. Or when he started his show from a bath tub hoisted about 50 feet in the air out in front of the studio. As SNL said, he was so talented. A musician, composer, you name it. He was one of a kind. And, he had one of the most infectious laughs on TV.

Steve Allen was the "first" & original Tonight Show host!!  He was so talented.  He could sing, dance, play the piano, tell jokes and I loved watching him. He also coined the silly phrase "Rat Fink"!!  Remember that one!!

Hey JAda Ann, the "schmock, schmock" line was made famous by comedian and talk show host, Steve Allen.

Everyone be sure and read Christie's family blog and see her son's poem to his beloved mom. It's very dear and moving.

Linda P., Will your insurance cover your iphone? What a rotten deed that was.

Hi, Toni

I always liked Bo Diddley. Seems like back in 1962 he put on a show at Bronco Bowl that I attended. One of my favorite songs of his was "Roadrunner". Here is a link to a 1960 performance:

Toni, on another topic, today I heard from my local JP Court that my Small Claims case against the jerk in Garland is nearing an end. The Judge signed off on my garnishment of his Wells Fargo bank account. The final step will be the release of $1,375.43 in about a week. What a battle ... all over a 2nd set of car keys to the little Miata I purchased last August.

How was your vacation?  Did Socrates have a good time?  Are you going to have pictures at the 678 mini?  Missed your snappy repartee on the GB while you were gone!!

Robert, now that you mention being related to Coach Norman, visually I see a resemblance...that's interesting info!  Now that you all mention it, I thought Rick had taken off with mini-Socrates for good!  Rick, is it something I/we said?  Come back, please!    SNL, have you heard from Barbara & Eddie Arnold?  When she called me last weekend, I encouraged them to come...hope they do!
