I have a cell phone server question.  Is Verizion Wireless in the Dallas area?  Good service from them?  What is the best server?  MIL needs a new cell phone so we are doing some research.

I can assure you that the one thing Bobby will never get me for my BD  or Christmas or any event is a vacuum cleaner.  He believes that I don't even know how to plug it in and am not sure what all those attachment things or for .  I make sure that he believes that and anyone that tells him differently I will make up some kind of story to tell your spouse!!!!!

Cheezehead of the frozen Tundra, how ya doing bud? You guys into summer, 45 degree nights? Put my hands on some Taylormade Tour Burner Woods. Sweet clubs, best driver, fairway woods I've ever seen. The Botox Kid whines everytime I pass him 50 yds. I'm taking B. Capps cold cash next week. Did you keep my $20 at the Mini, you rascal?

Sandy McM - Just how far south are you picking up hitchers?  I could meet you somewhere along I-35 near Round Rock or Georgetown.

Thanks for the map SNL, now I will have to purchase a cartridge.

If anyone from the south is going north on Friday holler at me and you can ride.  What about you Mr. Moss?  Do old folks eat at 4:00 p.m.?

That was interesting Richard.

Ada Ann, loved your Joe story. I can definitely relate. I was thinking of Christie too, since it would have been her 60th. Hope she is having a great celebration today.

Now Jack, you absolutely, positively proved my point when you ranted on about a club not doing what you wanted it to do. Like I said before, it's a control thing. Anything you guys can't control MUST be a female. And you would be right.

This Friday we are, once again, celebrating the birth of our nation. 232 years ago our Founding Fathers took that fateful step towards making us our own nation. We've come a long way since then. Here are some fun facts you may not have known about our nation:

  • The 4th of July was not declared a legal holiday until 1941.
  • The "Star-Spangled Banner," is set to the tune of an old English drinking song "To Anacreon in Heaven".
  • The Liberty Bell has only been rung once, in 1776. Every year since then it has been tapped on July 4th.
  • Only two (2) people actually signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The majority of the signatures were added over the following month, with most of the signatures added by August 5, 1776. One man, Thomas McKean of Delaware, didn't sign the Declaration of Independence until five years later.
  • The iron framework of the Statue of Liberty was devised by French engineer Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, who also built the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
  • Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national animal but was outvoted when John Adams and Thomas Jefferson chose the bald eagle.
  • The words "Under God" were not added to the Pledge of Allegiance until 1954.
  • Three presidents died on July 4th; Thomas Jefferson and John Adams in 1826 and James Monroe in 1831.
  • Thomas Jefferson would greet ambassadors in his pajamas to show his disdain for ceremony.
  • On April 30, 1939, Franklin Roosevelt was the first president to appear on television.
  • An urban legend began during the Cold War claiming that the ball on top of every flagpole contained a razor blade, a lighter and a bullet so that if the Russians invaded, the flag could be properly destroyed rather than taken. The legend apparently didn't take into consideration that no one would be interested in climbing to the top of a flagpole during an invasion by a foreign army

I ONLY WENT TO SOC ONE YR IN 1963. CAME FROM BUDD AND STOREY. WENT ON TO SUNSET AND FINISHED THERE. I HAD GREAT MEMORIES OF SOC. THE LONG HALLWAYS FOR MOTOR CYCLES TO GO DOWN. I REMEMBER THE SENIORS COMING BACK AND SQUIRTING WATER GUNS AT STUDENTS WHILE VISITING TEACHERS. I THINK THAT THE PRINCIPAL PASSED AWAY THAT YEAR.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
