Comments: I just have one question about tomorrow. Is there valet parking?
Comments: We will definitely be there tomorrow but I don't think that Bobby is going to be setting in the Christmas room. I think that is even more cruel then the kidney stones! Jack - I think that you had better be ready
Comments: Gerald, I dated a Sunset girl our SR year and Mike Jacks dated her for a little bit when they went to Texas Tech in Lubbock. Her name was Dinah Tilson and she was a ' 66 Graduate. I believe she was a Bisonette. I had known her and her family for many years. Be out next week for classes in College Station. Hope everybody has a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July.
Comments: Hey Gerald, you might be surprised as to how many people on this GB knew kids from Sunset! Why I think some of the girls even dated a few Sunset boys!! Did you look at our SOC Links pg yet? It has a bunch of fairly recent photos of SOC. One of the other classes took a tour and they were nice enough to share the pics with me. SOC still looks good!A very good friend of our family did the same thing at a local pool. He dove off the high board, but misjudged, hit the side of the pool coping!! His bro saw him sinking to bottom. Spent a few months in the hospital and has a metal plate in his head. He's never been the same since then! He always tells us he picks up radio stations in his head??!!
Comments: DON L. NO I WAS ONLY THERE IN 63... I TOO REMEMBER GLENDALE AS THAT WAS THE ONLY POOL I ALMOST DROWN IN. WE DOVE OFF HIGH BOARD DOING A TUCK AND HIT THE BUOY AND WAS KNOCKED OUT.
Comments: SNL THANKS FOR THE SHOUT... "66" FROM SUNSET I WAS ONLY 17 THEN AND JR COLLEGE AT 17 ALSO.
Comments: Don L. that is truly great news about Doug.
Comments: Geez, all the talk of water guns make me sorry I sold our two big pump water guns at the garage sale a few yrs back!! We used to have water gun fights in the backyard with our dtr & her friends. Lots of fun!! I may have to make a trip to Wal-Mart tda! ![]() Ya'll have a great 4th & Don that is terrific news about Doug!!!! Great results and all the more reason to celebrate!! That made my day!
Comments: Whoa, Toni - You're gonna get yelled at! But, at least, glad I had a chance to copy that neat little patriotic top hat w/4th of July message - thanks. KMG - Better look out! I heard that Jack was once kicked out of Glendale swimming pool for using his 'water gun' - from the high diving board! No sense of humor in those life guards. Pool Guy - Thanks for the offer, but I now have an invite to join my brother, Doug, for brisket, etc., up in Salado tomorrow. No fireworks this time, due to dry grass & increased threat of brushfires. BTW All - Doug's most recent PET scan showed no evidence of cancer - unlike his original late last summer, which I'm told resembled a 'lit-up Xmas tree'. My/our sincere thanks for your collective prayers - we'll be smiling on this 4th!
Comments: Promises, promises, ALL I ever get is promises!!!!
Comments: Hope everyone has a happy July 4th!
Comments: KINKY...KINKY...KMG...but gratifying I'm sure...
Comments: Yes Toni, the Doc gave me that permission slip quick as a flash when I showed up at his office this morning with my ice chest full of sharp icicles. He said he could tell by the glint in my eye how "necessary" it was for me to work out a few issues. Jack will need more than a towel; he better be wearing his Depends! JD, thanks for the tip about the machine gun (btw, it was my pleasure to sit and talk with you at the mini) but I would never shoot Jack. That's much too quick. Pistol whipping is far more gratifying. ![]() HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SAM AND SARAH!
Comments: Sammy...if you're able to check in while on vacation.....happy anniversary to you and Sarah!
Comments: Robert, great report from the doctor....happy anniversary too! Let us know the date! Stay cool! |
