Or if worse comes to worse I can bring a couple of those big water guns and squirt you with them.  I believe that Bobby feels like he has already had enough pain without setting in Gordy's Christmas room.  You know how he is about Chirstmas decorations!!! He has avoided that room like the plague before.  He likes to look at the car pictures.   Oh well, it will be fun.

The 4th at Gordy's does sound fun.  Also, sounds like some of you speak from past experiences at his house.

Hey Linda P., bring your suit and you can run through the water sprinkler, or I'm sure Jack would be happy to squirt you with the water hose. Probably the only water you will really want is a water pic to get all that barbcue out of your teeth. Come on out and have some fun.

Since you're on technology (ain't it all great), I'd recommend you folks with family in faraway cities download a product at www.ooVoo.com  It's a voice/video similar to Skype, but more efficient. I talked with, and saw, both daughters the other night; one in Calif & one in Georgia, simultaneously. Our IT guys found & recommended it.  It's free and no costs for calls anywhere in the world. A webcam's needed, of course, and they're about $20 at Best Buy (most new laptops come with webcams).  SNL, you can watch your triplets grow daily.

Ada Ann, we've had Verizon for about 6-7 yrs & it works great everywhere.  We've never encountered any problems in the DFW area or in traveling to Hstn , Austin and such.  Don recvd a Blackberry with AT&T service at the beginning of this yr frm his company.  He's traveled all over the U.S. with it frm coast to coast and it always works never any dead zones.  AT&T & Verizon are the two best carriers that have the fewest dead zones & best overall serv.  As Jack said, either wd be a good choice.

Ada, I can't help you with Verizon as I have never had them. We had Sprint for about four years and except for a couple of dead spots, no trouble. When my phone quit working and the local service center couldn't fix it, they provided another (same model) at the repair price.
About a year ago we switched to ATT and have been very happy with their service and have not run into any dead spots..yet.
We'll see how it holds up during our trip to NC and back. We switched for the roll over minutes and the in service free calls. Seemed most of the people we called had ATT and now those calls are free. It doesn't help with my work phone but the roll over time sometimes does.
Probably won't go wrong with any of the major companies.

Linda,  I bet Gordy would let you sit on a rock and dangle your feet into his Koi pond!  Gordy's house is a great place for a party...inside and outside!  There's always someone telling a story that you can get in on....I enjoy Gordy's recollection of his car collections!  Why don't you come with Sandy McM...it'll be fun...and wonderful food.  I'm already getting everything to make my banana pudding and cole slaw.  I told Gordy I would make him his own individual banana pudding so doesn't have to share!

Linda - - Besides eating, drinking, laughing, telling old stories and laughing at stories told by others . . .  not much!   I guess you could get in the pond with Gordy's Koi fish, not sure if they bite or not?  Come on by and check it out for yourself, you can catch a ride wit McMakin!

Mr. McGoo...no I did not keep your $20...I just taped the two pieces together in a funny configuration...upside down and backwards. But I do believe I saw it last when your lovely wife ripped it out of your hands and pronounced..."it is all mine"...whatever that means.

If I missed anybody's BD, I apologize...my VA psychologists has me going through gyrations to get my head straight after spending 5 days with you guys...what a trip...so HBD to RN,DL & Professor Smiley who can't spell and was beaten by a wonderful woman in elementary school Spelling BEE.

And finally, Mr. McGoo...please understand...I have seen you play golf...and your presentations on the GB are not exactly correct...but then again you earned the name fumble fingers for a reason!! LOL.

Ms McM...I have taken personal offense to your remark that "if your plant dies...you know it was a male plant"...although that remark clarifies the increasing impression that you have issues with the male gender of our species...sorry for your loss...but not all of us are bad...and we don't all die either!

Ms Arrington...nice to see you and Robert Norman posting...

Robert...keep your head up...life is a bowl of cherries and as long as you are on the top side of the grass...life is good.

As a final note today...the 1966 SOC Military Website is almost complete...we are in the final stages of getting it ready to link to SNL's wonderful class site. We hope all will take the time to review...the expected date is now the middle of July...more to come.

Thought of the day: If you have one true friend in your life that you can count on to listen to all your problems and share your life with..you are ahead of the game...remember...when Christ needed his friends the most, they turned their heads.

Kathy -- Too bad you can't read back far enough to enjoy the "ice hole" (Jack Hawkins) story.  It's a classic.  I've learned from reading the GB over the last year+ that our guys have a great wit and sense of humor.  Wish I'd known how clever they all are in h.s., but now am enjoying all their smack and that's what it is.  40 years later, who knew that Bovie would be called "Botox Bovie," Buddy Capps "Baywatch Buddy".  As for the girls, I've gotten to know and enjoy some that I didn't know in h.s. and renew old friendships.  Find out Miss Ada Ann lives in New Hampshire.  Riding in the car through our old haunts for hours with Toni RJ, Sandra Mc, & Debbie Melton was quite an experience.  We did have lots of laughs and and with Sandra at the wheel, well, that was a trip in itself.

Ms McMakin - - No, we don't eat at 4:00.  We start eating about 4:30 and it continues until buttoms start popin' off the jeans!!    We never run out of food, so it's an Eat Fest all afternoon and into the night!!
