SCIENTIFIC DATA

The reason for California sliding into the Pacific Ocean will be due to the loss of complete ground cover and all trees. Soil without roots usually will culminate in landslides once the winter rains enter the region. California will simply slip and slide away on a river of mud.

Sorry RN...I should have added this info on my last e-mail. Hope you are not effected.

RN...I always thought that California (PARADISE USA) would simply separate from the remainder of the continental U.S because of an Earthquake...now it looks like it will be erosion after the fires subside...the entire state just might slip into the ocean...then what?

Would guess that you don't want a welder. Welding it will cause it to rust in your pool. You probably gonna have to replace it.
As to your "other" remark, you should know that a woman's work is never done.
Good to see Pool Guy and Ron Barker back posting.
Does Rick just travel full time now?? What a job!

JD, I passed that piece to you, Don L and a few others recently ...it gives you pause for sure...but I guess you don't read my email to you.  Sandy Joe, do you mean to say that Bovie does something besides look gorgeous....  I have a Rainbird irrigation system....can't figure out why it keeps repeating itself twice when there is only one program scheduled/programmed! Programs B and C are also clear....any suggestions?  I suppose I will just call a pro if I don't get it resolved soon.  My June water bill was off the map but I have the greenest lawn in town!

SNL.....I'm still laughing!!  I wish I could share!!

John/Rick

I agree with you, the Grand Canyon is the biggest hole that I've seen in the ground.  It was made by nature.  I've seen two man made holes in the ground that have impressed me.  One is the Kennecutt Copper mine in Magna, UT and the other is the Sedan crater in the Nevada Site Site.  I saw the Sedan Crater a number of times flying over it in the early 80's.  A couple of years ago, I got to drive out on the Nevada Site, right up to the crater's edge. Impressive.  It is over 300 feet deep and almost 1300 feet wide.  It only took a few seconds to dig while Magna has taken years.  Meteor Crater in Winslow, AZ is also impressive.

I have 10 extra tickets for the Robbie Knievel event this weekend if
anybody
wants them.

He's going to try to jump 500 Obama supporters with a bull dozer.

Hey Rick,

In June of 1995, me and fellow SOCite Charlie Howarth decided to hike to the bottom of the canyon to "celebrate" our 50th birthdays. Nearly killed me. Spent the night on the floor of the canyon at Phantom Ranch. Took me 7 hours to hike down and 13 hours to hike out the next day.

Look in the Flagstaff phone book and see if Lana (Coalson) Malone and husband Mike still live there. She is from the SOC class of '63 and provided our "base camp".

I need a welder.  This past weekend there was a family reunion at the hotel and they managed to break the handrail in the shallow end of the pool.

If anyone needs a irrigation repair, I have the guy. The Botox Kid ( Tushy Boy Browning ) came to my home today and repaired my controller. The boy saved me $300.00. He's retired, bored, and looking for something to do. Give him a call, he might throw in a lap dance for free.

Karen - thought the funeral services for Debbie were very nice.  The church was filled to capacity.  I thought that I was going to have to park across the street.  The pastor did an excellent job.  I met one of Debbie's sons, Michael, when I came in.  He came over and introduced himself and told me how much Debbie love her friends from SOC.  I thought that was nice.

I'm glad you chose the path of integrity, JD.

I just wanted to share with everyone that the funeral for my cousin Debbie Melton Coker this afternoon was made brighter by the funny, insightful comments of her minister who gave the eulogy. He said "Debbie and her husband are proof of how opposites attrack, Alan being the strong, silent type and Debbie...well, for Debbie, silence was a challenge". The capacity filled chapel all chuckled in agreement. My cousin was a chatty and sometimes kooky girl, but like Everett said, she was sweet and innocent and she will definitely be missed.
