Comments: Pool Guy - I'll be teleworking from home tomorrow, so pls gimme a shout from the club-house (or whatever '___house' y'all hangout in when 'golfing') & we'll get a plan going to donate to the Rangers' beer fund again. Are the other 'Knights' onboard yet - Rick, BLB, Don F, Jack - any other guys?
Comments: SNL/Linda P – Thanks for the encouraging words (yes, I’m mending well & typing with both hands again). I’m not sure either of us could bear having another dog or cat that closely resembled the ones we lost. So, we decided to channel some of our ‘grief energy’ into turning rescued pets into new family members.
Our 1st adopted dog, last Aug, is a German Shepherd/Collie mix, about 75/25% respectively & 60 lbs; the 2nd this past May is a full-blood Sheltie, about 30 lbs – both are under 2 yrs old & very playful/active.
The 2 new Maine Coon cat sisters, due to come home with us this Fri., are about 12-15 lbs each & 5 yrs old. We’ve already dropped a bundle on their ‘welcome wagon’ items, including a 4-tier cat tree to help elude the dogs - assuming they retreat.
It should be an interesting weekend. We may wind up with a home that looks like a tornado ripped thru it, but eventually, we’ll have a new 6-member family w/4 new ‘kids’ back in the nest.
Comments: Posted new pic on Misc Photo pg. It's Ada Ann's wild west bunch!! As always, you can click a photo and it will enlarge for better viewing. Then you won't need a magnifying glass to read the names!!
Comments: Thanks again guys for the birthday wishes. It really made my "big" birthday even more special. ![]() Shortcake, I don't think Bobby is upset because I said he and you look like Cubby and Karen for the Mickey Mouse Club. It your singing that's making him crazy. BTW, I sent those pics you sent me on to SNL and she said tell you to send more if you can.I heard today that Parsells blames Romo's fumble of the handoff in that playoff game long ago as the reason he retired when he did. I'm sorry but WHAT A WHINER!! He just took the whiner trophy from Brett as far as I'm concerned. This is just my opinion, but I never thought he was more than mediocre as a coach and had a "I'm so superior" and generally crabby attitude most of the time. ![]()
Comments: Pool Guy: I informed the Mrs what you said. She pointed out that these "things" have something else in common. The fact that you are always in the near proximity when they occur. Said these "things" don't happen except when you are around. Are you a bad influence??
Comments: Sandy McGee -- Better watch if Jack is wearing a belt at the game. Remember what happened at the mini back in June? He can whip that belt out and do a belt dance pretty impromptu. Fortunately, we even have pictures to prove he did it. I do remember Cubby of Mickey Mouse club.
Comments: Don L., we will call you next Thursday to set a date for the Ranger game. Got to have you and DWF to help me keep Happy Jack Hawkins under control. That boy gets frisky when he's out from the eye of the Mrs.
Comments: Ms. Karen Melton, Happy Birthday, I think all of em' are good. Cable guy Fugate, bring lots of water Thursday. My buds Botox, Bay watch, and Cold Cash were panting like a puppy tied to a tree yesterday. I don't know if the heat got em, or the fact I took their $2.00.
Comments: Ok Karen-I looked up Cubby for Bobby-He said that you are safe for a little while - course the fact that I sing Mickey Mouse everytime I go past him probably just adds fuel to the fire
Comments: H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Karen “Water Cannon Paybacks” (Melton) Glasscock, today! I know that most of your well-wishers got an earlier start than me, but I’m sure glad you had a great day (a possibly greater Friday night coming up) & looking forward to seeing you again at the next mini!
Comments: Linda, did you ever watch Mickey Mouse Club. Remember Cubby and Karen. I believe they were the youngest, I know they were the smallest and were paired together. Karen was blond with a long pony tail and Cubby was just Cubby...cute. When we were out at Gordy's someone said that Bobby looked like Cubby. Well, you know what we did. We broke out in song, " M I C...K E Y........M O U S E." and we were all sober ![]() Karen, Happy Birthday. I hope you have had a great. I know you look forward celebrating with your daughter. Do it up right girl.
Comments: Karen RL - Who/What's Cubby? Don L -- Congratulations upon your new adoptions. Last week I adopted from the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter in Cedar Hill a lively dog that looked like a white minature Old English Sheep Dog. After I took him to a groomer and had all his matts shaved off, he looks mostly like a white poodle with the energy and intelligence of one. He weighs 17 lbs, and gives my 7 yr old border collie a run for his money. Anyway, walking into the shelter was hard as all the dogs and cats there need a home. If anyone wants a young cat (approx. 3 months old now), there is a female that needs a good home. Out of the 3 cats "dumped" at my daughter's house, 1 still is available. She is grey stripped and very sweet, not skiddish.
Comments: By the way - Bobby wants me to google Cubby to see if he should be insulted or not. He can't remember what Cubby looks like
Comments: Happy Birthday Karen...and to all of those I have missed...shoot, I'm 1/2 way to the next one!!!
Comments: Shortcake, all the tactical training is starting to make you hallucinate. Thanks for the birthday wishes but remember that YOU are the evil twin and I'm the nice one. Richard, my daughter and I are going to celebrate on Friday night so we can stay out longer. ![]() ![]() |
