Comments: Rod, I love the grandkids and camping pictures. Makes me wanna go too. (Hey Girls, I think the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers are calling our names! We need a road trip!)
Comments: Thanks, if you look down towards Caden's knees you will see a silver thing at an angle, and look at Buddy's face, he is intent on that fish. I tried to talk the fish into holding still but like most others, it didn't listen to me either. Oregon is blessed with some beautiful land and we're lucky to live here, an hour from the Pacific, an hour from the mountains and an hour from the Columbia River. It's really hard to stay home and getting bored is not an option. If anyone gets up this way I would be happy to show them around, might even take them into our secret camping spot.
Comments: Rod, Cayden is really growing and he looks so proud of that fish! Of course I'm taking your word for it that there was actually a fish in the picture!
Comments: Where is Caucasia, anyway??
Comments: John, you really should get a hobby (before you have to get new neighbors).
Comments: Yesterday I conducted a social experiment on my next door neighbor as we chatted in my front yard. I asked him if he preferred being called black, Afro-American, or colored? He frowned and said he preferred to be called "Andrew". Then he stormed off to his home. (Did I mention he is Caucasian?)
Comments: BRETT the JET
Comments: Sam, you slay me. I can just imagine you outside in the middle of the night "watering" the lawn. Guess we have all had to do that one time or another.I know EXACTLY what you are going through, SNL. When Connie and I built our house and moved in, it took us about 9 months to get 20 year's worth of "pack ratting" out of our old house. And, it can be very exhausting. Seems like the amount of "stuff" grows bigger as you move things out. Just when I thought I had everything out of that house, I suddenly had a brilliant thought and remembered the attic, which was filled to the gills.
Comments: Jack, there was a time when I couldn't imagine that $100 wouldn't fill a gas tank...that time is now. In Calif. the gas pumps shut off at $99...so I really don't know what it takes to fill 'er up. There's hope however. It seems McCain has put Paris in the position of voicing an energy strategy....and it makes more sense than John's plan. Go figure. (am I getting too political here?)
Comments: Recvd some pics from Rod Savage of he & Linda camping with their Grandson, Cayden. Beautiful country & Rod says camping is one of his favorite things! Be sure to Check out the Pride & Joy pg to see Cayden's 1st fish! This will probably be the last changes I make to the site for a while. We are packing every night & making lots of trips to the house to unload and head back with the empty boxes for more stuff! Geez, you never think you have a lot of "stuff" until you have to move it!! This weekend is going to be a marathon of packing!! Movers for the furniture come 8-16!!
Comments: Got you beat Jack. Our sewer line is backed up and toilets not working. Had to go to the bathroom this moring at 4:00. Back yard got about a minute and 15 seconds of "moisture".
Comments: Which one of our coastal friends wins the prize for the most rain? When I got in the car this morning the windshield was spotted, so I guess we got a few drops. Nether the ground or driveway was wet. Still hoping!
Comments: Who would have ever thought that 30 gallons of gas would be a nice wedding present?? Am I the only one getting these gift card (SCAM) offers??
Comments: Congrats Ada..it's a whole different kind of fun. Jack, regarding your gift-cards, I understand that newly weds are registering for gifts these days at Neimans, Target, Pottery Barn and Shell Oil.
Comments: Wonderful news, Ada! I know you are floating in air right now. I don't have any grandchildren yet. At least I better NOT have any, seeing as we are about to get our first kid married (in a month). We are all happy for you. |
