Susan, I will not be at the lunch- I know you will all have a great time. Dale & I have plans. Maybe another time. Thank you so much for asking, though - it was very sweet of you.

One in eight women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer during her life time. This disease is also diagnosed in men. I know of 10 classmates that have experienced Breast Cancer. I can't speak for the rest of them but I'm definitely ready for the cure. Please join the Boogity Bears at NorthPark Center on October 18 for the Race for the Cure. Please go to www.komen-dallas.org - Race for Cure - Join an Existing Team - Search: Boogity Bears - to sign up.

Hey Bovie, go ahead and WEAR your swim suit and your fishing cap to Lake Cliff so we can easily spot you when we arrive. SNL is bringing the hot dogs to grill. Oh, and if you still have that "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" button, stick that on your hat too. See ya there!

Thank you all for the sweet comments and happy wishes!!!
Sounds like a lot of fun is in the planning. It is great to have such a thoughtful group of friends always there - connected to the keyboard Have a safe and fun filled Labor Day weekend. Congrats S. McM on the daughter's engagement! Toni, after the waffle shop get together, you might want to consider the ice cream shop in Glendale for dessert [Robinson's - I think?] . He used to make a wonderful peppermint malt!
Blessings to all!

It appears that John McBush, I mean McCain, has been off his meds for a couple of days.

Why would he choose political light-weight Sarah Palin as his running mate?

Did he help or hurt the party's chances?

Bovie, here is a heads up for you. These gals really go all out for these lunches, so put on your best frock and high heels. Wouldn't want you to be shamed or kidded at your first gals lunch. (I know this because I ran in to them at Houston's a while back.
Note to Sandy McM: not with the guys!!

Sandy Mc....congrats on the engagement for your daughter.  Just got back from NM and I'm on the short end of time...one week.
So sorry I am going to miss the lunch.  That's the day I drive off to NM.
SNL, as soon as you set the date for the fall get-together please post it so I can make flight arrangements.

Just one other thing and I'm going to bed.  My daughter called me from Yankee Stadium Tuesday night and told me that her boyfriend ask her to marry him.  It was such a surprise that she couldn't help but cry.  I knew because he had called me about 15 minutes before to ask for my approval.  Wasn't that sweet!  Just thought I would share.  Night Night and God Bless.

Toni, is that a drive thru or a drive by?  And you're taking a cab next time and the cab can follow me.  I knew I should have left you at Glendale swimming pool.
