KMG, I don't know about you but I got my driver's license while I was still 15!  I took drivers ed at SOC with Rich Lanier, Mike McDow and Steve Gray, and of course I was the superior driver in the group...just ask them....well, at least Mr. Fowler thought so!!  Little "a" and Karen RL can attest to my remarkable driving skills.  Driving that MG was as different as night and day compared to the Big Blue Boat!  Speaking of Little "a"....I sure hope the weather this weekend in the Houston area is not too unkind to them or the others we know in that area.

Hey all of you "older" folks (kidding of course), are any of you coming to the '68 reunion Friday and Saturday?  We hope to see you there...

If we tried to figure out what would cause two young men, who normally would be completely protective of their rides, to turn them over to two inexperienced drivers and girls at that.
Could it be, as the wise man said: a wiggle in the walk, a giggle in the talk makes the world go round. There ain't nothing in the world like a big eyed girl to make me act so funny, make me spend my money. Make me feel real loose, like a long neck goose oh baby you know what I like!!!

Jack, I'm sure about your assessment of the Triumph over MG. I had a Triumph and always thought the guys with the MG's had the better car. In reality, British Leyland was never that great at engineering their autos.....design was pretty good though.

Those MGs had rack & pinion steering systems. Second only to the superior Triumph TR series system, there was NOTHING faulty about them.  Sounds to me there were two problems; one some nutty guy letting an underage girl behind the wheel and two nutter, inexperienced girls driving fine handling sports cars!!

I didn't know that the "Doggy Do" tradition was kept alive during the great 66 SOC Senior year, but I do remember partaking in that on the Wilson Twins front porch after decorating their front lawn and trees with TP.

Toni, I'm sure you're right about the "faulty" steering on MGs back then and it couldn't have had anything to do with the fact that neither of us was old enough to have a driver's license.

Don L, you had to go and remind me of the "doggy-do flambe" that you and David H left on my doorstep.

Jack I do have the expense account, but................I am certain if we think back far enough, I can find where you owe me something and I will settle for lunch.  Yea we are opening offices all over Texas and I got them handed to me when I moved back down here, plus I still have to do all the traveling I did, Domestic and International.  No rest for the wicked.  Don L. I saw the Oliver pictures also and I bet your wife appreciates the fact that you let that flat top grow out a little, from the 6A pictures!!!  I saw a lot of old friends in those pictures and in fact, I saw more that I did not recognize than those I did!

Hey Buddy, maybe I can meet you guys for one of the so called "Golf" outings.  Since we just moved back to Houston and bought this house, I could use some extra cash!

Sandy-thanks for the address you sent me.  Back to the salt mines.....

For those of you who know Fred Bennett, you know he is a very private person.  But I saw his Mom's obit in the Dls Mrn News tda.  Betty Bennett passed away Sept 8.  There will only be a "Celebration of Life" on Fri, 9-12, @ the Duncanville Church of Christ @ 11:00am.  He would probably appreciate a card from his friends.   He moved since our reunion, so if you need his new home add, email me & I'll reply with it.  Fred does not look at the GB or our site.  Prayers go out to Fred & Twilla, his wife.

KMG....I learned to drive my cousin's MG at 15 and I only jumped a curb at the State Fair.  There must have been something wrong with the steering in those cars...ya think?

Sounds like a great plan, Mike. While I doubt that hot dogs are on your diet, I'm sure we can find something to eat. I thought all you traveling guys had expense accounts that "needed" to be used!!!  SNL is right. Schedule a trip so as to be in town November 1st for the party!!
I checked out the Oliver pictures, gee there were a lot of goofy looking kids back then (maybe all of us??) Found Jerry Tillery listed. Unless there are two (how could that be??) that is not correct. I think Jerry went to Lisbon all 6 years.

I would try to make it in for the golf outing but I know these retired guys cannot afford to lose their social security checks.

Also did you send me the thumb drive with the stealth pictures of the girls luncheon last saturday? I think we might have some good blackmail pics.

Contact Buddy Capps or myself to join us. He's looking for the opportunity to get his $2.00 back. Cable Guy, come join us, your winnings will pay for your plane ticket. Cold Cash Dagley, grab some $20's out of the freezer and tee it up. Botox boy, if finished with your massage, you should be there.
