Comments: Mr. Nance: I have now made my arrangements to attend the Get together on 10-1-08. Now that we have not seen you since the reunion...I believe it is your turn to make the effort to get to Big D and attend one of these things... RN...also...bring your blender...Hawkins talks a good game...but I saw him at the bar in June and he was having olives and cherries ground up so he didn't have to put his teeth back and chew the fruit in his drinks!!! All golfers with little money...bring all you've got...The game is sometime on the 31st...Mr. Money Bags Botox Bovie is covering all my bets. And any of you 67' guys that want in on the action...well get there on time...only this time I want us to mix our groups...I saw Mr. Capp's fuzzy math...and am not impressed.
Comments: Jack, funny you should mention teeth. I just spent 3 hours in a long over-due dentist chair. The dentist is a Muslim I've known for some time. He opened up with "I've been wanting to get a Christian in this chair for some time time, and especially you...we'll see what we see." (true story) That's when I went out and bought the juicer. When I can chew again, I'll order some Omaha Steaks.
Comments: SNL, don't you just love your K/A dishwasher...I've had mine for a few years now but I still go into the kitchen to make sure it's on! Went to LG for the front-loader washer and dryer!
Comments: Memo to Richard Nance: So sorry to hear of your decline in health. Since you are now eating pureed foods (by Jack Lalane) is it your teeth or a digestive problem?? (Always wanted to know, can you really use that juicer to get clam juice?) Do you still cook for enjoyment and to feed the family or you just juicing it now?? Hope it is just a bug and you can get it out of your system.
Comments: Rick, your grandson are precious, very handsome little guys. I bet they are a hand full, two hands full.
Comments: Karen those are wonderful pictures. Must have been a beautiful wedding with such pretty women
Comments: Thnks - I will probably start getting used to having two more grandchildren after Christmas when the shock of buying for two more
Comments: Shortcake...good looking crowd...
Comments: Sorry to hear the sad news, Mike and Sue. We are praying for you. Reynolds-Wrap: Nice looking group on the Misc. Photo Album!!
Comments: Prayers and thoughts go out to sweet Sue and her family. Caring for ailing parents is a tough but loving and selfless task. Hang in there Sue and Mike.
Comments: TNX Richard, my next major purchase will be new pots & skillets! We bought all Kitchen Aid, dbl ovens, microwave & dishwasher. I LOVE my dishwasher!! Ran 4 full loads yesterday & I cd barely hear it at all. Good thing it has a blue light indicating it's running! I chose Wolf cooktop with the downdraft that goes up/dwn when you need it. I may be calling you for some cooking tips as I've never cooked with gas before! My refrigerator is LG. On a sadder note - Sue Ash called this morning & her Dad is fading quickly. He's at home & on Hospice. Her parents live in Weston, Tx which is between McKinney & Salina. Sue stays up there all the time to help her Mom as she isn't in very good health either. She only comes home abt once a week for a day to check on Mike and do some personal things. I told her we would send prayers for her Dad, Mom and her too!! She will keep me updated on things.
Comments: I can't believe I'm reading you correctly John. What happened; did we pass each other in the night headin' to the other side this year. SNL, I bought all Viking stuff and ended up canceling everything after hearing from owners, installers, etc. Put in Kitchen Aid ovens/micro/cooktops (gas) and a Fisher/Paykel 2 drawer dishwasher(takes some getting use to). We also installed the tankless water heater...that really takes some getting use to. Pots & pans...after using up our 30 YO+ stainless, we upped it to All Clad copper core (instant difference, outstanding stuff). Something new this weekend...the "Jack LaLane(sp?) Power Juicer...does everything he claims, and you can sense the health benefits immediately. Let's see, what else? Oh yeah, I bought a new yoyo.
Comments: I'm watching the Dow Jones Industrial Average in a 500 point downward tailspin. So much for the "Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008". It's time for the Maverick and his Faithful Alaskan Companion to ride up and save us!
Comments: Found a bright spot about turning 60. State Fair of Texas tickets are discounted for 60 and older. Regular price (this year) $14.00. Senior price $10.00. Didn't even wear my "give me my discount" T shirt!
Comments: JS, your pie chart is logical and clear cut, based on facts and better than anything we have been getting from the media. |
