Comments: There is an old story in the Marine Corps about a lieutenant who inspected his Marines in the field and afterward told the "Gunny" that the men smelled bad and suggested the solution was that they should change underwear. The "Gunny"responded " Aye, Aye, Sir I'll see to it immediately! He went straight to the squad tent and announced, "The Lieutenant thinks you guys smell bad, and wants you to change underwear. Smith, you change with Davis, Holms, you change with Brown, Watson, you change with Garner and so on down the line. Now Get to it. The moral : A candidate may promise "Change" in Washington, but don't count on things smelling any better
Comments: Jack- 124,444 a year u must of gone to Adamson for Math that # is way out of line after freg
Comments: Bobby B - that's the Bobby I know sharp as a tack. Both party's stink look at what they have done. Blew 700 bil and need 700 bil more because of the other party. Newt was the MAN ! kept EVER BODY in line Billy too (90s), but accountability by the voter is 0-0-0-0. The more we give them the more they screw up. We can't even do Med. Care w/o billions in fraud. The US Gov at present time (leaders) is the worst run company in the WORLD baring the Military
Comments: I thought I heard wheels turning somewhere out there....I guess I was hearing the wheels in Richard's head...thinking of those naughty nudity jokes (say that five times, fast!). Here are our choices for the election: McCain/Palin, for the Repuclicans, Obama/Biden, for the Democrats, Bob Barr/Wayne A. Root, for the Libertarians, and then we have a write-in option. Bruce has already received his ballot in the mail for those (over) 65! SNL, leave it to Dale to try to bring a smile(ha!ha!) to our faces! I needed that laugh. Thanks, Dale! Looking forward to the debate tonight!
Comments: Happy Jack ...went skinny dippin at a Nuclear Power plant, still glow in the dark,You always know where I am at.I think that is what is wrong with me.Did notice my electric bill is lower.I see a lot of stars.Light Saber??//
Comments: Thanks Linda P and Happy Jack.I appreciate you.My Sarah is so different today.Whats the matter Dennis of 64, Are you wearing a colored Robe? My sister dated a Cowboys coach...and he was not white.I went against the KKK, Should be dead, I have been threatened by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court...Lets go by what the candidates will do and their policies than anything else.I am angry at both parties.Maybe there should be a revolution.Sounds like me in the 60's and 70's.I am not responsible for the failures of the Govt but will pay for it, I am sure. What about our children and theirs? Why should we bail out the rich?
Comments: Buddy, I'm not defending the idiots at DISD, but the $124,444+ includes any benifits cost and the matching taxes the employer pays on salary. Richard, pray tell what got you to skinny dip when the water was THAT cold? I knowed you was crazy, but I never thought you was stupid!
Comments: I hate to see the jobs of 675 DISD teachers being laid off due to leaders miss calculations. I know the leaders didn't come out of Miss Paschall's class. But on the other hand they sure are making a good salary. 84,000,000 money short / 675 jobs = 124,444 a year they had to have gone to Sunset or Kimball. Is the requirement to be a public servant to be real bad at math too. J'S check the #'s (PS) i know JS is voting McCain he makes over 250,000 me i'm looking at a promised TAX CUT Pool guy- Oh My !!! I just could not give Georgene a kiss on the lips this morning after she chewed a_ _ out
Comments: Well Richard, you & Smiley made me laugh today! I remember that episode of Seinfeld where George went swimming in a very cold pool & that girl walked in on him!!! Just saw it about 3 weeks ago on late night TV. Dale, yours takes the cake for today.... "Best Man"
Comments: Jack, their comments at the nudist colony being noticed as "best man", brides maid, etc., reminded of the time I jumped in an ice-cold stream skinny dipping around DeSoto. When I jumped back out I swear I could have posed spread eagle for Penthouse Magazine and won Pet of the Month.......I'm talkin' COLD. Only George Kostanza could really appreciate the moment.
Comments: Don; Best I remember, Ralph Nader has been the Green Party candidate the last few cycles and I'm sure the Libertarian Party has run somebody. Even Ross couldn't afford to get another national party up and running. Richard, please share your thought on Bovie's "camp" plan. I need a good laugh. You often come up with things my twisted mind misses!
Comments: I don't know, Jack. But, there's more than a solid chance this is your next Pres. We can only hope he does a good job.
Comments: Richard, this is a great country where anyone can rise to the top. That said, where is the vetting of BHO?? How did this poor boy with a single parent afford to go the the best prep school in Hawaii? How did his family afford an extended trip across the USA? How did he rise so quickly through the tough Chicago politics? How does someone shortly removed from being a community organizer afford a 1.9 million dollar house? Why hasn't anyone raised these questions in the vetting process the media loves so much?? As to the other, my Pappy always told me not to worry about what other people think about me. As long as I was doing the right thing was what mattered. Frankly, I don't care what the rest of the "world" thinks. Remember, the "world" often is just governments. And they often have agendas and make statements to promote those agendas. Personally, it make my heart hurt anytime someone takes us to task for doing anything that helps anyone in the rest of the world come closer to having the freedoms we enjoy. I don't understand how any American can not support every attempt to provide freedom to the rest of the world. SORRY, I'll get off the soapbox now.
Comments: I'm trying to recall, from the previous general election, whether there were more than just the 2 main candidates & their political parties on the ballot - does anyone remember? I know there were about 10-12 total candidates during the primary, even though most of them had dropped out of the race by the time we voted in TX. If there are more than 2 on the ticket, I'll be taking a hard look at the alternatives. If I go with one of them, it'll be as much a vote for having more choices as it will be a vote against the other 2. It'll probably seem like a wasted vote, but why shouldn't we have more options? At least, I will not feel guilty for helping return things to 'business as usual', as it has every other time. Did you hear all the congratulatory 'smooching' by Senators last night, for their bi-partisan effort in passing the bail-out bill? I almost had to pull over & lean out the door of my truck. Yep, guess I'm fed up to my 'high water mark'! ![]()
Comments: One of the main reasons why America seems to be losing respect around the world is the open America hatred of some media big-mouths like Michael Moore et al who prefer places like Cuba---why don't you just get a one-way ticket to Havana Mikey? My family in our many years living overseas spent time passing through Communist countries enroute to places, and we should never forget history---believe me it is hell even to visit totalitarian states. The video of children singing praise to their "Great Leader Obama" gave me the creeps. Today I read an article about an energy company in England recruiting kids to spy and report on their parents for sinful energy activities. SHEESH! |
