Comments: Isn't Maytag known for the "agitator"?......Maytag Hawkins.
Comments: Karen/Jack...isn't that the same rule for Mormon girls?....??
Comments: John, thanks for the info. I thought I saw something about the early voting polls being open 21 or 25 days prior to election day for presidential elections. Sally T, your dad and mine must have had the same vacation planner...LOL!! I know I've been to every battlefield twice...wasn't until I was grown that I enjoyed being taken back for a third time! You'd probably really enjoy seeing them now! Wow, Happy Jack has a new moniker - Maytag Man!
Comments: Well, there he goes again! Shortcake, I didn't say anything about girls. I said teenagers. I believe both sexes leave the community for a year so they can decide in which world they wish to live. But if they chose to leave, they can never come back.
Comments: Good morning.........(rw may have started something) SNL, what prospects?....what do you do, or sell?
Comments: HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO PAT!!! HOPE IT WAS A GREAT ONE ![]() LINDA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY - HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY WEEK ![]()
Comments: Jack - quit trying to hit on an Amish girl - we will tell your wife. Remember that these girls are supposed to go back to their communities!
Comments: Happy Birthday Linda and Pat!!! JD, you know I can't hide anything. You may not remember, but I make a living (??) fixing things. When nothing is broke, I have time on my hands. Since I am now caught up, tomorrow will be spent out "selling" calling on dentists who are not yet using my services. Although I do have some paper work that needs to get done too. Some of my customers call me the Maytag man. Say I fix things too well for my own good. I doubt that I'll ever retire. Can't afford it and I like fixing things. It might be nice to be able to make a living and only work 3 or 4 days a week, but I'm not there.....yet. Linda, I thought you might have brought back some of that Amish furniture or one of the Amish teenagers who was going out for their year in the world before committing to the life style.
Comments: Linda - Hope you have an absolutely great birthday - and many, many more.
Comments: Been out at a prospects ofc all mrng - - I just closed on the sale and expect accts to start being placed by tmo mrng! Now I gotta do the paperwork to set everything up & get the ball rolling. Toni, haven't heard from Sue since she cld that one evening. She sd I probably wouldn't hear from her until the situation changes. . . and that will not be a good thing! Her Dad is very ill & she doesn't believe it will be long until he lets go & leaves this world. She rarely comes home & is doing what she can for her Mom as well as her Dad. He is on Hospice. Linda Perkins - - Happy Birthday girl!!!!!!!!! Hope it's a great one & that you share many more with us!!
Comments: Southworth my man, You forgot to add to the list---Sheek Damn-do-Ireek, Uday, Qsay, and Oil of Ulay, and that's not 49 states, it's 57 states total. If we can't laugh life is not worth living!
Comments: Thanks for the birthday wishes. The years seem to be rolling by faster, with my body heading downhill. Otherwise, all is well. Rick - We stood in line to see the Liberty Bell but not an especially long time -- maybe 15 minutes. I didn't write my name on it, but did take pictures of us standing in front of the bell. We toured the inside of Betsy Ross' house and I enjoyed doing that. That was the ONE thing I wanted to do. I had read somewhere a few years back about "old Philadelphia" so I thought that there would be an old town part like Granbury or Waxachachie. I was surprised that Betsy Ross' house was squeezed in between more modern buildings. But I liked it anyway. We rode the trolley and got the narrated version of the sites.
Comments: Rick, I think I spent my entire childhood at Betsy Ross' house!! My father grew up in Philadelphia and EVERY TIME we went backthere we had to go to Betsy Ross' house ( at least that is my childhood memory). So far I have not subjected my daughter to this torture. AND, I bet I would enjoy it now. I can't remember a thing except for standing for hours outside the house while my Dad fiddled with his camera and tried to fit us all in the picture. I did enjoy the soft pretzels with mustard, though. BTW, we also went to every Civil war battleground from Dallas to NYC and back by various routes--I doubt this is true also but it seemed that way! AND some revolutionary war ones also, particularly Valley Forge.
Comments: Toni RJ, consider yourself "corrected". Early voting begins Oct. 20 and runs through Oct. 31: http://www.dalcoelections.org/Clerk_Application.pdf Political update: Barack Hussein Hitler Stalin Idi Amin Obama (as JD would say) continues to roll. McCain withdraws from Michigan (only 49 states to go - as Nance would say).
Comments: Those early risers are down for their mid-morning power nap! |
