Comments: Bob, it's a nice hospital. I thought it was new, but it isn't. I think they're doing some upgrades. My dad was there getting a knee replacement and he had a huge room all to himself. It was like a suite.
Comments: Sue, so very sorry to hear about your terrible loss, your Daddy is so precious and wonderful, and his spirit will be with you always. Bob---I hope you have a whole lot of good luck coming your way, you REALLY deserve it.
Comments: Sorry, Susan,I do not work in Cleburn but I am considering working there.
Comments: Sue, my sympathies to you and your family on the loss of your Dad. Bobby, didn't you work at the hospital in Cleburne? I was there this weekend and thought about you.

Comments: Good Morning! Don't forget about our Fall party on November 1. Here's something special we're going to do at our party and everyone can partcipate!! I'm going to ask each of you that come to bring an unwrapped toy for a child. All gifts will be given to the Carrollton Santa Cops. Our friend, Gordy Johnson, has collected toys for them as long as he's lived in Carrollton & been doing the terrific light decorations on his house. He always has a box by his door during the Christmas Season & people who come to look at the lights bring toys. He takes them over to the Santa Cops about the 16-18 of Dec & there is a party in which every child receives a gift. The party is for the underpriviledged in the area & they serve hot dogs and tamales! It is a very worthwhile charity & it will give a gift to children that would other wise get nothing. For those who have been to Gordy's house you know "It's Christmas year round" at is house!! Although he would never tell you this, he supports several charities every year and buys lots of toys himself to take to the kids. Gordy will be at our party & we will have a box for the gifts. Please bring an unwrapped toy or game for a child. This is not a requirement, just a request if you would like to help out a child. Thanks in advance for your participation as this will be a tough year for many families!

Comments: Coasty Don L., what's the military take on this Powell guy? I always took him as a stand up guy. Now , I wonder about him.
Comments: Wow, as soon as Sandy Joe & Don posted & I hit refresh... it cleared up & popped back to it's regular size! Thanks guys! Pool Guy...Congratulations!! Being on the front cover of a magazine is reason to celebrate! Please bring a copy of the magazine to the party so we can all ooh & awe over it! Not bad for an ol' SOC Pool Guy!!
Comments: SNL - It's not your eyes or your PC - the display definitely went to full-screen earlier today. It may be the result of Powell's fat-a** elephant sitting in our space. ![]()
Comments: Pardon me while I do a Bay Watch Capps strut around the pool. One of my pool projects is on the cover of the October issue of Dallas Interiors. The home is very modern, with several 50 yr. old pecan trees, in the Lakewood area. I designed a rectangular shaped pool with a 15 l.f. sheer descent water feature. The plaster is a medium blue, with 2x2 glass tiles. A spa is attached with a rill water feature. This is a difficult business to survive in for almost 30 years. But I still get a great level of satisfaction in creating and building beautiful backyards. Now, if I could only make a 5ft. putt, and take home some of Botox Browning and Cold Cash Dagley's money.
Comments: So is it just MY computer or has the GB gone crazy and spread itself across the whole page??
Comments: Sue Ash McDow cld this evening. Her Dad passed away on Tue, 10-14, and was buried on Fri, 10-17. He was layed to rest at Restland and he had a full military funeral including Honor Guards. Sue said it was a beautiful funeral and he would have been proud. He was a Lt. Colonel in the USAF and it was very touching when the folded flag was given to her Mom. Sue apologized for not calling us sooner, but she does appreciate all the prayers from her friends. It won't be until late this week before Charles' Drs can collaborate and give him any info. He wants everyone to know he greatly appreciates all the prayers and concern and, God willing, he plans to be at the Nov 1 party! |
