Comments: Linda, I agree. We do live in the greatest nation on Earth! If any of you are still considering not voting, think how privileged we are to be able to vote. There are so many people in the world who don't have a say in who runs their country. Remember, a vote for McCain is a vote against Obama! Here's a tidbit to make us all feel older (as if we need it) ... Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane) is 69 today!
Comments: Sandra -- I voted at the Library in Duncanville right after work -- no bags of anything were being passed out here. Voting did go smoothly and I was in and out in about 20 minutes, although there was a long line outside the library. Most of the people voting looked (were dressed) like they had come from work (like I did). After voting and knowing that in our country we have that freedom w/o fear, I remind myself that I am a citizen of the greatest nation on the planet.

Comments: Obama is a blank slate upon which we project our own "wishes." Creepy, really creepy to see the massive crowds swooning over a slick guy who is really just hypnotizing us with the word "CHANGE," and reading from a teleprompter. Comments: You're missing the marvel of this election; how really stunning it is. That America and its citizens have matured to the point of even possibly electing a minority as our President, or a woman as a possible VP, is quite something. Most, but not all, have finally gotten past racism, bigotry and sexism and are looking at the person. Quite remarkable in my view.

Comments: Oh my goodness! I just voted. There was an Obama line and a McCain line. I noticed that the folks in the Obama line were being given a grocery bag as they left. As I walked out the door i ask one of the ladies what was in her bag and she said chittlin's collard greens and watermelon. ......... My kids are going to be so mad at me, ....I was in the wrong line.  Have a good day 
Comments: I'm still in there for Obama; still think he's the best hope. My only real concern is putting all the cards in the hands of the Democrats....now that's a real drawback, but one I can take for 4 years. I suppose my utter disdain (near hatred in fact) for Bush could be clouding my judgment a bit, but I'm still for giving the Big O a chance at the helm.
Comments: We voted yesterday at lunch at the beautiful Murphy City Hall - - piece of cake. Several of you have said you don't plan to vote as you don't like either choice! Just remember, a "No Vote" is another vote going toward the other side!!! If you don't want Obama to win then get yourself out there and VOTE!! Gordy is madly putting labels on his Dynamite Chili Fixin's so he will have enough for everyone at the party to take one home! He's using many of the sayings ya'll put on the GB!!  . Comments: Carol, you never fail in making me look forward to visiting with you. Lefty John...1. Don't count your chickens before.... 2. IF you are correct, it is truly sad that that many Americans have fallen prey to slick tongue, talk alot, use the words "hope and change", yet promise only higher taxes and a redistribution of wealth, tell us we are all victims, guy who has NO experience in being a leader. When he did show up at work, he didn't lead or EVEN follow. He just voted "PRESENT"! He chooses friends that are terrorist and a pastor (for 20 years) who is a racist.
Comments: Good morning everyone. Rick...am getting ready to climb on the Dallas Express for tomorrows golf and the Saturday event. Carol...please, do not get to upset...it is becoming increasingly apparent that the polls are incorrect. Consider this...their sample's are always a higher percentage of Democrats and a smaller sample for Republicans and Independents. This skews the poll numbers to the Democratic side. And if this guy wins...be prepared for a complete resurgence of conservatives four years from now...The next election will be the Jimmy Carter repeat and he will lose just like Carter did against Regan...but in the years between...hide your money, your children, and your thoughts...because the democrats will try to legislate the elimination of all three!!!
