Comments: Jackie H - my old political advisor, I'm taking time out on all political news, taking the hot line to Rush and Hanity off the hook. Will refocus on the Red and Black in the 2 big steps ahead my friend. OSU #9 (home) step one, OU #6 (road) step 2. If all above happens that will be 3 top ten team wins in a row. oH mY !!! Hoping the boy is going home tomorrow (bUTTERFINGERS) I told him I would help him take down all his Obama signs in the yard
Comments: I've been gone all day but as soon as I got in I was able to get the rest of the info on the pics!! Gordy's Dynamite Chili sticks really stand out, don't they! I haven't tried mine yet. . . waiting for a good cold snap! UPDATE ON SANDY MCGEE: I finished my last appt tda abt 2:00 & as luck wd hve it... I was next door to Presby Hosp in Plano. I went in to see Sandy McGee & Sue Sue was there. But don't worry, he's doing better & back to his ornery self! But here's the bottom line. He hasn't been feeling good for 3 -4 wks plus his knees are killing him. They're abt shot. He actually went to his Orthopedic to see what cd be done abt his ailing knees. Doc took one look at him & said he needed to go see his regular Dr NOW! Turns out his heart had gone into an irregular beat, anterior fibrillation, and that's one of the reasons he was feeling so bad. Despite shocking his heart 3 diff times they couldn't get it to stabilize. Meds finally did the trick. They're keeping him in the hospital until they're sure it is stabilized. But, they also discovered he has Type ll Diabetes! Sue Sue said they won't even discuss doing knee replacement until Jan & after he gets these other things under control. However, this is what McGee told me - - He asked the Doc if there was anything he could do to improve his golf game & win back his money from Bay Watch Buddy. Doc said knee replacement!! No problem McGee said, do whatever it takes so I can win back my $2 from that #%&#$ 67 guy!! Oh, I knew Bovie had already been there as there was a 6-pack setting on the shelf!! Take care Sandy Joe & for goodness sake, do what the doctors tell you!! Our prayers are with you!!
Comments: Yes Sally, you are right. We love each other enough not to let the things we agree to disagree on come between us. and Robert, you are right too. we know who is always in charge. And Annette, I HOPE you are right. I hope he is half as good as his supporters think. See the following: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P36x8rTb3jI
Comments: Hi Robert. Sorry to hear of your vision loss but thankfully you still have vision in one eye. What's the weather doing in CO? I have not seen posts on here from the classmate you mentioned but maybe she will see your post and know you want to get in touch.
Comments: Hey Annette, I KNOW we love each other and although we don't always agree on politics, boy, do we agree on that one! I am so hopeful that something good, rather than hateful comes out of this. On a light note--does anyone watch the Daily Show? As usual Stephen Colbert told it like it is--just get past the 30 second commercial. Okay-- I thought it was funny. http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?videoId=209526&title=indecision-2008-americas-choice
Comments: I don't post often here cause it is hard to fit in. I very seldom get replies to my post or maybe I don't see them, I have lost my left eye due to diabetes but my right eye is hanging in there. Has Cathy Hill posted here ? She and I are sharing at MyPlace. so here is my main post message.~~~~~~~~~~~~ As I watched the news this morning I saw so many people crying , crying over the election. I too cried, not because the one I voted lost, I cried because we are one day closer to the Return of Jesus Christ, KING OF KINGS , LORD OF LORDS. PRAISE THE LORD Robert
Comments: Sandy, brother get well soon---hope you're feeling better! Congrats to all Obama supporters. I hope he turns out to be as wonderful as his supporters believe. Sally, I agree, I don't like religious name-calling, and even more than that I never accept religious-hating behavior such as genocide. It is however not religious name-calling to state religious hate-crime historical facts, and America has endured more than it's share. We hope that this will never ever happen again. My prayer is that President-elect Obama will succeed, we need success from anywhere and anyone who can bring it.
Comments: I'm hoping and praying that Mr. McGee will be back to his old self (ornery but lovable) as quickly as possible. We're all pulling for you Sandy! SNL, great job as usual on the photos. Thanks for the time and work you put in on this website. It is greatly appreciated.
Comments: SNL -- Thanks for posting the pictures. I enjoyed seeing everyone having such a good time.
Comments: Got basic info on the pics from Sat but its still quirky. Could only do one pic & then it flipped me out & had to start over! I'm going to be out all day on contacts but will call them when I get home to try & get it fixed. Until then enjoy what's there so far! Just got em from Buddy saying McGee in hospital with heart & knee problems. Saw where his good friend Bovie made a post & I know he will keep us posted. Let's pray for a speedy recovery & nuttin' serious is wrong with him. He's too ornery to be sick!
Comments: Just to let everyone know that Sandy McGee is in the Plano Presbyterian Hospital with some heart problems,,I'm on my way to see him..He sounds good and just as ornery as ever...I'll keep u posted,,,,,.Bovie
Comments: I didn't think anyone was still awake...nice work as usual SNL. I hope everybody saw & listened to McCain's concession speech...man, it was the most moving and best speech I can recall. I happen to like Tavis Smiley...his response with Tom Brokaw on NBC was also remarkable....hope you saw it.
Comments: I've posted a bunch of the photos from Saturday's party. I got them all reduced and put in the album, but when I started putting the names on them the system started scewing up.
Comments: Ok, the world is really gettin' weird; try this news story just posted: The Irish village of Moneygall was also trying to claim Obama as a favorite son — based on research that concluded the candidate's great-great-great grandfather, Joseph Kearney, lived there before emigrating to the United States. At Moneygall's Hayes Bar, an American flag fluttered outside window Tuesday and local band Hardy Drew and the Nancy Boys played their rousing folk song "There's No One as Irish as Barack Obama."
I like to think I'm a proud Irish-American (and I like Obama), but this feels like a reach...even for my "dear Irish brothers".
Comments: I think Khalidi is Christian-- or so I read. The other professor at Columbia who was hounded by an outside group was also Christian. Another, not original thought, though-- The Moslem man whose son comes home from Iraq in a coffin having served his country, the United states of America, during all this talk about whether Barak is really a Christian or a Moslem. Does it matter? Isn't this a place for all religions and for all people to live free? That sort of religious name calling makes me very sad. We don't want to be like the middle east. We want to be a place where all citizens are treated with respect and equality. |
