Dana, I'm so sorry you have been battling covid the last 3 weeks! Thank goodness you were able to stay out of the hospital and it's good news to hear you are starting to feel better.

People don't seem to realize just how devastating covid can be to some individuals.  I'm very glad you are doing better and thank you for checking in and reconfirming that this virus is nothing to take lightly.  May you continue to get better each day. [love]

The 1st cold front arrived in the early hours of the morning.  Wind & rain.  It rained her for several hours but nothing major.  Next cold front Monday.  Sure is chilly out, big difference from Wed & Thur when it was hot.

Next Sat is Halloween!  Also time to reset all the clocks.  At least we'll be turning them back!  Hope all our '66ers are well.

Looking at the Cub Scout picture. I recognized most of the same people. I think the boy in the back row behind Don Brunson might be Bill Keele.

Well, glad I was able to pick out Gary from that Cub Scout photo.  I recall a couple of the other names, but not the rest.

I sent one to Sandy that's posted in the 'Early Days' section of our website, top row, 2nd from left, from my Oliver 6th grade class

I can make out about half of them.  You're welcome to give it a shot, if you're still at a loss for things to tease your 'gray matter' & eyesight.  Go for it, Gary!

Now that's a great photo.  Looks like the 5 "taking a knee" were really ahead of their time.  We had a a bunch of photos of this era burn up in a storage fire a number of years ago; big loss.

I know Gary, David, and Larry went to school with us all the way through SOC. Larry Ritcher got me my first job (other than mowing yards and odd jobs). His Dad knew the man in charge of the stock room at J C Penneys in Lancaster/Kiest. He needed two guys to wax and polish the floors after hours. Larry asked me and I said yes. When we finished he offered Larry a job after school and weekends, working in the stock room. Larry turned it down, so he asked me and I took it. Great guy to work for, he taught me a lot. I think Eddie was in private school. I wonder what happened to the King brothers, Cardel and Mike?

You are right SNL.  And it helps when those friends can recognize everyone in pictures we run across at times.  I have a hard time remembering names of people I met yesterday.

Me too Gary!!  There's still a small group of us Lisbonites that went thru school together.  Longtime friendships are hard to beat!!!

Thanks, Jack and Sandy, for posting the picture. It sure brought back memories. I'm thankful that I attended school with you two since first grade and value your friendships!

The ones I remembered were Eddie, Larry, Gary and David. I knew the other's faces, but couldn't pull up the names.  Carol, the stole wearer was too old (tall) to be a Cub Scout and it definitely is not my Mother (den mother) or Gary's Mother (asst. den mother). It was at a store in Wynnewood, maybe Volks? It was part of a drive for Christmas gifts for the needy.  Thanks, Gary, for the refresher course!

There's no competition when it comes to Dagley.  We used to think he was making up the names, but soon found out he was correct.  He is the best at identifying people in our old photos!  Heck, I only got one and that was Jack.  I've gone to school with him since 1st grade!
