Comments: Jerry - That's fantastic, another set of twins for this grp!! I'll certainly keep your son & his wife in my prayers for a safe birth. It's always scary when its multiples bec you don't want them coming too early. I think you & Ada Ann will become grandparents around the same time, how great is that!
Comments: Thanks for all the well wishes. As Jack said, I remember most of it like it was yesterday. I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world to have found the perfect person to spend my life with. I hope that we can see 37 more years. We are planning something simple tonight, but we have a big night planned for Saturday when we can kick back and enjoy it. Also, I have been a little hesitant to post this before, but Joyce will become GParents for the first time sometime in early April if things go as expected. Our son Jeff and his wife are expecting twins at that time. Then I won't have to be envious of all of you with your Grandones.
Comments: Happy Anniversary to Jerry and Joyce. Celebrate big time. Unfortunately, I can't do a GNO on Saturday afternoons. It's a work day for me and one of the busiest. I will put in my puny vote for Thursday evening.
Comments: Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Tillery. Hope all is well!
Comments: Happy Anniversary, Jerry & Joyce!! It can't be 37 years. I remember most of it like it was yesterday. My first Polock wedding. Such fun!! PARTY!! Taking y'all to the airport and seeing you off. Going back to Joyce's folks house to drop off the tuxes and help clean up the left over beer and food. Here's to 37 more! Ada Ann, you keep on keeping on, girl. We are all with you through this.
Comments: Richard, there is most definitely a "Firewheel" subdivision. Last year I spent 6 months dogging a Firewheel resident who owed me for a Small Claims Court judgment. Susan, I may have a conflict with that Feb. 7 movie date. Our sports car club has its annual "Polar Bear" drive that day. We meet up in Houston, put the tops down on the cars and cruise about 30 or 40 miles to some backroads place for breakfast. Some years are worse (colder) than others. I'll get back to you. Now about the movie selection, let's not be too quick to rule out "Taken".
Comments: Happy anniversary Jerry. It seems neither rain, sleet or snow can stop a good GNO, if I'm reading the posts correctly. Is Firewheel really a place?
Comments: OMG! Valley View used to be my favorite mall!! The march of time can be cruel! Northpark, the food court, chat, chat, chat and Feb 7 all sound great! Let me know! I hope everyone is making it to work safely, if you have to go. I took work home with me Tuesday and stayed home yesterday but was still able to get my work done. SNL, you're right! Working from home is pretty cool!
Comments: Jerry my friend and lifelong twin - - Happy Anniversary to you & Joyce!! Wow, 37 yrs! Hope you two have a romantic celebration!
Comments: I'm in for eating at the food court & a movie!! I agree Northpark is a good place and trust me.... we don't want to go to Valley View. It's hard to believe but they have let that mall befall the same thing as Prestonwood! Foley's /Macy's closed early last yr & Dillard's closed before Thanksgiving! Gone! Without big anchor stores it will close soon. JCP is the only big one left. Lots of undesireables hang out there & it's not very safe. I vote for an early Sat afternoon movie (maybe it's less if it's before 3 or 4 O'Clock? We can meet for lunch & then stroll down to the theater. McMakin, can you please ck & see what start times they have for the movie. Then we can decide and set our meeting time accordingly. Email me the start times & I'll send it out on our girl network to see who is interested & plans to show. Feb 7th wd be a good Sat for food court & a movie!
Comments: Sounds like Northpark might be best for all. A Thursday night or Saturday day? We could all meet at the Food Court, eat what we want, chat, chat, chat and then see the movie. After the movie have dessert and critique the movie.
Comments: Actually there are a lot of us that are in Garland, Rockwall or around the Firewheel area.
Comments: H a p p y 37th A n n i v e r s a r y !!! to Jerry & Joyce Tillery, married at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Houston, TX, at 7:00 PM, January 29, 1972. Major congrats, best wishes & may you ‘love birds’ celebrate many happy returns. Hope to see you at the next mini!
Comments: Bobby: I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. As you know, I had known her most of my life. I have fond memories of her as a beautiful woman with a beautiful smile. And, she came from a good line of wonderful women, including your grandmother (another wonderful woman I have had the distinct honor of knowing). Your mother was a kind, caring person. I always felt so comfortable around her. And, I know she was a wonderful mother. Your parents made a beautiful couple. Your dad was as handsome as your mom was beautiful. I can still see them smiling at church every Sunday morning. I cannot remember ever see them with a frown on their faces. Please pass my condolences to your siblings. Ronney McKee
Comments: Let's see. Most of the girls are on the north side of town except you and Linda, right? Is there a theater at Villey Valley View Mall? I could meet you there. It's right on LBJ so it's easy for me to get to and from. There's Irving, but I'm not very familiar with it. You guys just pick a place and I'll figure it out. SS |
