Southworth I think you mean panhandling.
you were panhandling the other day.
It's good business if you wear the right clothes.

Oh, and Jack, calling people names is never funny. As for pandering, rarely are those not in power pandered to. Politicians usually pander to the wealthy, the Ken Lays of the world, not the poor, the working class, those without the money and the power.  I don't see any pandering to the school teachers but I do see pandering to wall street, big business.   We won't agree on this.

Thank you Sandy McGee and Don L for the posts.  Yes, the great thing about e-mail is that our lawmakers can get an earful from us-- and rightly so, in many cases!

Don L., well stated my friend. Black, red, purple, male, female, who cares. These people were elected to represent us. If we don't like them, get rid of them. I just sent 2 e-mails, and made 2 calls to Washington D.C.
They now know there is a pissed off pool guy in McKinney Texas. All of us need to let your elected officials know they are being watched, and will be held accountable for this debacle. You will get their attention when they think they will lose their jobs.
I will no longer sit on the side line. I don't trust any of them.

It couldn't have been said better!!  Amen Mr. Lincoln, and very nicely put!!

Richard - As far Mr. Phelps, another stupid celebrity that threw it all out the window because he likes to do drugs!  Seems our Sports Stars of today blow millions & even hundreds of millions away in endorsements so they can have fun with drugs.  Kelloggs has already announced it will not renew Phelps' contract which expires this week!  Hope he enjoys WORKING for a living!

What many of us have been sniping at each other about has everything to do with individual core values and our emotional reactions to any infringement upon them.

Political parties have everything to do with leveraging those emotions to divide us into groups who will vote for them in exchange for supporting our causes.

We, the people, however, always seem to come out on the short end of the stick - the part broken off in our butts - after the elections & the reality of making good on campaign promises sets in.

Both Bush & Obama have exercised their agenda, pandered to their special interests & their party loyalists; in the process, they've apparently managed to piss-off a majority of us in every category.

So, despite our beliefs, most of us are still caught in the middle - not left, but left out; not right, but not right now.

My main wish is for national unity - to put the 'U' back into U. S. & actually behave that way.

Any thoughts on this knucklehead swimmer that just threw away an otherwise bright future...over drugs.

Gee Sally, maybe it is because they don't pander to them.
It seems that half the world has lost its sense of humor.
I thought it was funny, Doc.
You're right, Sandy Mc. By the way your friendship dues are due. Please remit ASAP.

Then just cut out the name calling and ranting and no one will be accused.  Any name calling is NOT acceptable. Stick to facts. Heavens knows, there are many here. And, JD, it is because more conservatives are prejudice than liberal?  Didn't you see the Republican convention?  Why are so very few minorities interested?  Think about it for a while.  BTW, I am just trying to keep you all in line before you get embarrassed by what is said. Refer to people by their names, don't make them up. Gotta go to work--warmer today 18 degrees.

That should have read, Land of Greed, or greedy.

Have a good day/weekend and change the subject please.  We can talk about it all day, but what is it going to change unless we put our words into action

Hello Gary D.   Ada Ann, I hope you are having a wonderful day!  Love ya, girl

RN...Everyone is to blame for this...even BUSH...but the spend desires of the current administration are beyond failure....as I said before they did not work in the 90's in Japan nor in 1933...facts that can't be altered...even in revision history...and Ms Taylor...why is racism always cited from the left of center and always aimed at a Conservative?
