Comments: These boots are made for walkin', JS.
Comments: Sandy, Sandy, Sandy ... Don't forsake me, oh my darlin'. Obviously you and Dale have forgotten my deep western heritage, being directly descended from the lineage of Tex Ritter and my Aunt Dorothy Fay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothy_Fay Ranchin' and Foremanin' are in my blood.
Comments: Dale, he may just have something there.
Comments: Sandy, You are so right about John. I don't think he qualifies as a ranch manager. He asked me if we planned to raise Dachshunds because he had heard cowboys on a ranch say " get a long little doggie"
Comments: Dale, don't fall for Southworth's, he'll watch the Ranch. Before you know it he'd be opening a fish market and your grand kids would have nothing to do when they come.I've figured you out JS ![]()
Comments: Mr. Southworth, The gate at the ranch already has letters 14" tall saying " Lazy G Ranch" (the previous owner was named Gaylon) and has a registered brand. We are thinking of just replacing the "G" with an "S" for Smiley. Seems like a good name.
Comments: Hey, JS! Rattlesnake Ranch..Used to do the Round up thing..maybe we could do it again and charge people.I used to walk among them , skin them , eat them. I was such a crazy! Anyone ever pick one up when it was cold and you were spelunken? (sp)..Karaoke.. I was singing and dancing at a bar when I was young ...three women asked me if I would sing and dance on their table. I did and got nearly 200 from them .Might get a quarter now.Have lost 4 to 6 inches off the waste. Can't see worth a flip though.Hope to see you guys whenever the next mtg is.Did I tell you guy's, my Sarah was excepted at TCU? Out of 16,000 aps she was one of 1400 accepted. So proud!! May need to win the lottery or rob banks!
Comments: My John was in a wreck a little while ago, someone sideswiped him.He is OK and thats all that matters.Down a vehicle again. Helped him put on an exaust manifold last night and new battery cables this morning on that car.For those in with the Lord...Pray for us and our luck this past year.I want all of our babies to be safe!
Comments: Don L....just part of his job...he delivers there most every week...
Comments: Jack - Yes, we have a karaoke bar here in Lago, but I didn't know that was Bruce up on stage! Toni - What's the 'official' purpose of Bruce's trips out our way?
Comments: Toni - Jack, I caught that "karaoke" reference!! It made me laugh!
Comments: Hi Y'all - Well, we have internet service, but my e-mail (not Kathy's) is down. Last e-mail was rcvd fm Jack about 6:15 night before last & nothing else since. So, pls hold e-mails til I can get a PC-enema to make Outlook regular again. So, I guess this is gonna be a fixer-up weekend & I need to get up on the roof with some duck tape to patch holes before it rains again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Comments: Memo To Rancher Dale: With 314 acres, man, I'd fit right in; plus it would allow me to follow the words of that famous group of female philosophers who once sang "I need wide open spaces .... room to make a big mistake". You MUST come up with a suitable "ranch name" and corresponding branding iron. I think it's a law. Here is one to consider - "El Rancho de Sonrisas" ... the Ranch of Smiles (get it? ... kind of a play on the family name ... Smiley ... Smiles). In the event of a future sale of the property, such a name would be far more marketable than, say, Rattlesnake Ranch. I'll bet you're looking for an elderly couple to serve as Ranch Forepersons during the months you aren't present at the ranch? Dru and I might be interested in the job, depending on the RPA Ratio (rattlesnakes/per acre). Have your people call my people.
Comments: Well, the only person to convince that we may have a future BMX olympian is his mother!! She doesn't share the same enthusiasm as his father even though her own brother was a BMXer!! Come to think of it...that might be why! My daughter-in-law is convinced that the racing attire was already purchased well in advance rather than borrowed from a friend of my son. About the bike...my son... um.....I mean Santa Claus brought him the racing bike for Christmas. It's only a matter of time before my beautiful daughter-in-law learns how to change racing gears....![]() ![]() ![]() Jack, shhhh....Shortcake doesn't realize that I know where the spare keys are hidden! You should have spoken up sooner, the RV is already full....shhh....not a word to Cubby or Shortcake! Jack, you think I didn't get it about the karioke bar...but I did...only thing is.... Bruce couldn't do it without you!! Just ask Glynda! ![]()
Comments: Toni: did Shortcake leave you keys to the RV?? If so, what about party bus for the weekend?? We could get a group together and "cruise" over to Shreveport or Vicksburg or someplace and PARTY the whole time. I'm sure Shortcake and Bobby wouldn't mind a bit. In fact, I think they would insist. It is much better than the RV just sitting around!!! I can leave anytime, just let me know. |
