Place: Overland Park, KS Comments: Update from Stuart McWhorterβs son, Craig - βDad Update: 3rd day after being tested positive for Covid and showing only minor symptoms....such as a very small cough he had yesterday but not today.... he's in great spirits and doing well.... Thank you everyone for your prayers and please continue them not only for him.. but for everyone affectedβ€β Good news so far - π€.
Place: Richardson Comments: I did remove Stuart's name from the missing list last night. I made a note in my book that he is in NY in a Sr Living facility and ill with covid-19. This is very sad. Up until November, I didn't even know anyone who had covid-19. Now, we've lost Connie McKee and Alton Day's daughter and Stuart is very ill. Plus, I believe Kathy Arrington's son and family had it. I think all of the family recovered. You can't be too safe folks, remember . . . you know where you've been and who you may have been around. BUT, do you know for sure who & where those you come in contact have been?? It's a scary world out there. It's only a week and a half until Christmas! Let's all pray next Christmas will be kinder and allow us to be with family & friends without concern for getting sick!
Place: LV, TX Comments: After seeing Carol's post about "Stu", I recalled that "W. Stuart McWhorter" has been on the 'Missing Bears' list for quite a while. But, Sandy mentioned he couldn't be located for any reunion notifications. Very sorry to hear that he's in Sr. care for heart issues and now that's been complicated by C-19. Prayers going out for him and his son.

Place: Richardson Comments: Geez, I hate to hear that Stuart McWhorter from our class is ill with covid-19 and in a Sr. Care center in NY. We tried to find him for several of the reunions but without success. Prayers that he recovers.
Place: Overland Park, KS Comments: From my FB page - βA few folks have asked about the status of my eye following surgery. The surgeon checked the eye last Thursday, said it appeared as he expected, and will check it again this Thursday. Not sure what will happen after that. The gas bubble that was injected is about 3/4 gone, which allowed me to drive home this morning. I canβt get Annie and Aspen until I am OKed to lift more than 10 pounds, which I hope will happen on Thursday. (My little girls are a bit chunky. Gotta work on that.) More when there is more to report. π₯°β

Place: Edmond Comments: Help classmate conversations to thrive, keep the GB alive! πππππ Donβt be a π¦...post on the guestburkey. Ok, I will π€ now.
Place: Sunny in Richardson today Comments: Thanks Paul & Richard. Good analogy Richard. I do feel like I can breath on this site, hope others feel the same. We do have a lot more than you might think who aren't on FB. They do look at the GB many times a week, they just don't like to post. And, that's OK too. At one time several years ago I simply asked if we wanted to keep the website and Gb due to the popularity of FB. Believe me . . . I certainly heard from a lot of people both on GB and in private emails. I still believe it's our link to one another and our best way to notify our class of Get-Togethers, Reunions and Parties!
Place: California Comments: SNL, now who could you be talking about? I know I try to stay out of controversy on FB. Always keep it light. ...ok, I can't sell that. I come here to breathe.
Place: Edmond Comments: Sandy, you cal always count on Paul the Neanderthal to post here. I want no part of FB. π€
Place: Richardson Comments: You're welcome Gary. I wish more people would post but, sadly, everyone wants instant gratification. On FB they can post and immediately get "likes" or other comments. Or, they can carry on an argument with someone they've never met. Although our news lately hasn't been very good, at least here you are among friends who don't try to rip you apart. Y'all have a good even. It's chilly and cold here and I'm headed to my bedroom TV to watch another beautiful Hallmark movie. They always have a happy ending!
Place: Mansfield, Tx Comments: Thanks for the extra wishes, Sandy. And thanks for keeping up this site for all of us to stay in touch.
Place: Richardson Comments: I saw where y'all got snow!!! We are only getting the rain. Gary D, Lots of us wished you & Deanna a Happy 52nd Anniversary on FB. And I asked her to tell you Happy B-day yesterday. But you are worth 2 wishes! Hope your anniversary was good, although, can't go out! All our celebrations this year seem to be small & in our own kitchens. Hope you enjoyed your b-day as it was beautiful out yesterday. Best Wishes my friend!
Place: Edmond Comments: Yaβll come on up. Our ski areas are all open. βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβ·β· |
