Comments: Richard, I doubt that it will surprise you that I disagree with your point. I think the point of America is to encourage and export freedom. Someone once said something to the effect of if you don't play the game you don't get to complain or make the rules. Last time I checked you had to be able to speak and read English to become a citizen. If you're not a citizen, then you are a visitor. Visitors should have manners and not complain about or to their host. While everyone has a "right" to complain, I don't think I should have to have an interpreter to understand them. DITTO what Don said too!
Comments: Ada - More great news & we're all thrilled - keep on a'kick'n & we'll keep on a'pray'n! JD - Since you may not be buried in snow out in Scottsdale for half the yr, you'll have to send us new pix of you snorkeling in the sand or shoveling it instead. Jack/RN - All I want for Xmas is unity & determination out here in mid-America to stand up against illegals, criminals, terrorists, bad gov't & anything else that common sense tells us is wrong. I no longer support the 2-party system - it's like putting re-treads on old tires & all they do is blow-out, over & over again. Teleworking from home today - gotta login on the other machine now - later! 
Comments: Did not mean to start anything...just sampling my Spanish. I have noticed some are using it and I wanted to understand their comments...Jack...it still is, I believe, a requirement to learn English to become a citizen...can anyone confirm?
Comments: Jack, you're missing the point of being an American. You can be to dumb or lazy to learn anything and still stay around town regardless of the language you speak. (I don't know why I start this stuff). Now me, I like Pig-Latin...been speaking it all my life. I often hear folks tell some foreign national ( or a new US citizen), who may be complaining about the US and all its problems, that "if you don't like it, go back where you came from". That always struck me as an anti-American remark. The whole idea of this country is to have the ability to complain, criticize, etc., and not have to leave.
Comments: GREAT NEWS, Ada Ann!!! I knew you'd do it. JD, I do very well in Texan and have conversed with yankees, so I think I'm OK in American. I've had great discussions with Brits and Aussies, so I guess I can get by in English. I used to have a working knowledge of Vietnamese, but I think I have lost most of it. I don't speak or read that stuff you're spouting and don't plan on learning it. You can, your choice. Last I checked this was still America, We speak some form of English. I believe if you are going to live here you should too. If you are too dumb or lazy to learn to do so, you should go back where they speak your lingo. You maybe ahead of the rest of us. I heard there is an Executive Order coming down giving AZ, NM and TX to Mexico, they are just bartering on what BO gets in return.

Comments: SNL and to all...my apologies...I never meant to alter the dates nor cause confusion...just trying to show off my Spanish and see if anyone can really read it ! Please forgive me...also...I will not use bad language...nor will I use a terrible inference, or use suggestive phrases...my Spanish is not that good...but getting better.
Comments: Since I don't speak Spanish much less understand it . . . thought I'd clear up any confusion JD's post may have caused. The Get-Together is still on June 13th. It is not on the 9th or the 19th!! Or.... maybe JD & TRJ are having a rendezvous on those dates??

Comments: RN...Scottsdale will be my residence away from WI for at least 5-6 months a year...the first year will be 6 months and 1 day...if the law remains the same !!! I've been looking for a condo for over a year...just have not found what we want where we want it...at the price I want to pay. And my Spanish invitation is for this June...not last and or next year !
Comments: Ada Ann -- Congratulations on the good news! I know that you are so happy and relieved. My 3 yr old granddaughter, Lauren tripped on some large above the ground tree roots, fell and broke her arm. She now has a hot pink cast. And she will be a stand-out at her dance recital the end of May.
